birthdays, and clowns, and tape, OH MY!

Happy Monday LMT friends!  Tina here today with a cute little birthday card to share.

I used two of my favorite Love My Tapes washi tapes for this birthday card - Red Diamond and Green Argyle.

The inspiration for this card started with a punched circle that was leftover from another project.  I layered 3 strips of the Red Diamond washi over the circle and punched a star.  (the Red Diamond star will appear in another project, so stay tuned)  :)

I took another piece of scrap cardstock and layered 3 strips of the Green Argyle and punched another star.  Using a pop dot, I placed the green star over the punched negative on the circle.

To coordinate the green argyle pattern, I placed two strips of the Green Argyle tape underneath the green patterned paper and stitched in place.  I finished the card with a clown die cut and a title. (Green paper and die cut from Pretty Little Studio)

Super quick and super easy!

Wanna win some Love My Tapes goodies??  There is still time to play along with our June sketch challenge, so get those projects submitted.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful week!

Thanks

Kathy Martin here on this lovely Friday to share another Love My Tapes creation with you! See the rosette on my card? Can you tell it's made with washi tape? You may have heard me talk about applying washi tape to vellum so that you can create die cuts, but maybe you haven't thought about using it for rosettes?

Here's an example of how to apply your washi tape to vellum. Keep each strip right up against the other so there are no gaps. For the project I used this butterfly die for, I used a mix of tapes which gives you a cool look.

This rosette was made with the Light Green Chevron tape and the other style I used is the Gray/White Diagonal.

I really like using washi tape for borders as I did along the left-hand side of my cards; then I added a few vintage pearl buttons.

I hope you enjoyed my project. And I hope you have a great weekend. Maybe you can sneak in a little crafting time? Make it a good one!

Kathy :)

"Wonder" - scrapbook layout with washi tape

Hello Love My Tapes fan!  JJ here with another layout

For this page I started out with a grid, inspired by the checks in this purple washi tape.  I added more washi tape and some patterned paper inside the ‘squares’.

I covered a couple of small chipboard shapes with one of the washi tapes.

These flower were made from the fabric tapes  - I adhered them to cardstock, then die cut the flower shapes.

Thanks for visiting!

Dog kisses....

Hello!  Tina Walker here today with my very first Love My Tapes blog post.  For my first blog, I will be sharing a layout featuring several of my early Love My Tape favorites - Blue Washi Tape #001, Red Diamond, and With Love.

I love how you can layer several colors and designs of washi tape to create a unique and fun look.  The Blue washi tape is great for a subtle hint of color.  The Red Diamond is great for a splash of color.  And the With Love tape is so perfect for adding a little sentiment or word.

And isn't the new Crate Paper, 'Story Teller' just great with these washi tapes?  They coordinate so well.

Another one of my favorite uses of washi tape is to use a small piece under photos and let it peek out from behind.

I hope you enjoyed my layout.  I am looking forward to seeing your projects using these tapes.  Please share them on our Facebook page.

That's all for today!  Thanks for stopping by!

Imagine

Hey bloggers Rita Barakat here!
Sometimes a layout speaks for itself.
No, it does not have journaling but I was thinking of this
more like wall art. I used a 12 x 12 sheet of acrylic from Clear Scraps and LOTS
of artsy products! My little one is truly a girlie girl, so this is perfect for her!
Perhaps you have a girlie girl too?
Of course you can't have a girlie layout without lace!
I left the acrylic areas behind the stenciled heart clear, you could put paper
behind it; because I left it clear it will match any decor.
The stencil , ribbon, paper and flowers are Prima.
To get that dreamy background color I used Gesso and then three colors of
Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Gelatos and blended with a little water paintbrush.
The beautiful lace is self adhesive ribbon tape from Love My Tapes.
Here is another peek at the title, a slightly different angle
so you can see the colors and the lace tape!
I hope this inspires you to create something pretty today!

With Love

Hello! Kathy Martin here with my very first post on the Love My Tapes blog! And for my debut post I created a card using one of my favorite Love My Tape styles, With Love. I thought it would make a perfect card sentiment, what do you think?

I also used White Dots on Grey and Light Green Chevron. I really like the the green and grey combo!

For my focal point, I hand stitched some flowers on this Kraft stock tag using a stamped image as a pattern. Then I added a mini die cut tag made with more of the Light Green Chevron Tape.

To make dies with washi, just adhere strips together on clear vellum and run through your die machine. You can even use a digital die cutter.

I hope you enjoyed my post and have a chance to try die cutting with your Love My Tapes.

Kathy :)

"Twelve" - tween birthday scrapbook layout with lace and fabric tapes.

Hi Love My Tapes fans! JJ here again, with another layout. With all the washi tape love that's been shared lately, I didn't want you to forget that LMT also has fantastic fabric and lace tapes, so I've got a few on this page.

To create the background for my photos, I lined up several strips of the fabric tapes to get wider patterns.  You can either do this carefully and line up the pattern, but I kinda like the random look to emphasize they are separate pieces.

(The brown polka dot pattern is from one of the self-adhesive fabric sheets - you want to grab one of these while they are still in the store - I love these.  )

I alternated strips of the lace tape - I like the mix of textures and shades.

Thanks for visiting!
