Morning checklist with washi tape
Hello, Love My Tapes fan! This is Maya and today I am going to share a fun project that I hope will become an important part of my son's morning routine.
My friend told me about a clothespin chore chart she wanted to do for her kids and I immediately thought that it can really help me and my son with the morning tasks. After some changes to the original idea that what I came up with.
I covered a simple clipboard with patterned paper and added letter stickers to the top. I covered the seam between the "to do" and "done" halves with beautiful Love My Tapes washi tape.
Each clothespin represents a morning activity, It is covered with washi tape from both sides. I used a thin sharpie to write the task.
If this will work well for us I will make another set of clothespins for the bed time routine, using a different washi tape.
Hope I gave you some ideas. Thank you for stopping by today!

Box Card with Printed Washi Tape
Hello Love My Tapes friends. Marcia here today. I have been experimenting with printing on washi tape using my computer. Think about all the free fonts available. Not just fonts, what about dingbats? No, I am not talking about a stupid person, but a type of font.
"A dingbat is an ornament, character or spacer used in typesetting, sometimes more formally known as a printer's ornament orprinter's character. The term continues to be used in the computer industry to describe fonts that have symbols and shapes in the positions designated for alphabetical or numeric characters."
Free fonts and dingbats can be found all over the internet. You could personalize your washi tape with endless possibilities. Want to see what I discovered....
I created this word doc on my computer that combined some of my favorite fonts with some fun dingbats I found....
Print it onto glossy photo paper. (Very important so the washi tape will peel off easily.)
Layer a strip of washi tape over the top of the printed words or images. Choose washi tape with muted colors and patterns that won't be distracting.
See how some tapes were better options. The yellow easter eggs turned out best I think. The Robots with the blue stars ended up being too distracting. When you are ready to use the washi, gently peel away from the paper.
I have an inkjet printer. This technique will only work with inkjet printers. If you have a laser printer, check out this link for info How to print on washi tape at Ashbee Design. I did try printing directly onto the washi tape but the inkjet inks won't dry and will eventually smear.
Here is what I created with my dingbat Santas (which by the way were a dead ringer for the Fancy Pants Merry Little Christmas collection!)
Don't worry, these cards fold flat for mailing. I even created a coordinating envelope.
I hope you give this technique a try. If you like, you can download a PDF of my WashiDingbats file from here.

Black, White and Yellow Project Life
Hey everyone, Katie here! Today I'm sharing a recent project life spread I did using photos from our road trip to Arizona.
I wanted to mainly focus on the photos, so I didn't want a lot of crazy colors (even though I do love color). I decided to just stick with black, white and the yellow and orange of the sunset and mountains in my photos.
I went through my Love My Tapes stash and grabbed some of my favorite black and white tapes as well as the light yellow fabric tape, just to add a bit of color.
I used the washi tape as borders along the sides of my project life cards and my photos. It's such an easy way to add a bit of pattern to your photos without covering them up completely.
Thanks for stopping by!

"Faux Tape" Magnets
Hello! Tessa here with a quick and easy tape project that will help dress up your refrigerator or any other magnetic message board.
With these cute "faux tape" magnets, you get the look and feel of tape, but the ease of use of magnets.
You will need:
* magnets (I used a self-adhesive magnet roll)
* tape (any kind will do, but I used fabric)
* pinking shears (for the "torn" look at the ends of the magnets)
If you used a magnet roll like I did, you'll want to finesse the magnets a bit to make them lay flat. But once that's done, how cute are they?!
Thanks for stopping by Love My Tapes today :). Tessa

Football Party with Fabric Tape
Hello Love My Tapes friends. Marcia here today. It's definitely feeling like Fall here with the cooler temps, trees changing colors, and lots of Football! I made these fun food picks for our Sunday afternoon football party.
I die cut several football shapes and used my brown fabric tape to cover the cardstock. I trimmed away the excess tape along the edges and added some stitching using some DMC floss. I glued another football onto the back side with a toothpick in the middle. I decorated the back side with stickers. Here is how they looked on my table....
These would look awesome in cupcakes too, don't you think?
I was having issues with the storage of my fabric tape so I want to share a tip with you today. Unlike washi tape, fabric tape does not stick to itself on the roll. It was coming all unrolled on me in my storage bin so I use paper clips to keep them rolled up nice and neat. I add these pretty ones in my scrapbook stash, but you could use regular paper clips just as well.
Thanks for stopping by.

Lace tape borders
Happy Friday! It's Jaclyn back again today, to share with you a recent scrapbook page I created.
The pictures I had to document this memory were plenty - therefore taking up a majority of the 12x12 page. However, I wanted to be sure to add lots of texture and pattern to the page as well. Because, well, half the fun of scrapbooking is adding in all the pretty products. Am I right?! ;) Since I was limited on space, I used a variety of strips of patterned paper to create interest around and frame my block of photos. To add in some additional texture and interest, I layered in a couple of lengths of lace tape. The LMT tape proved to be the perfect compliment to my paper choices and I love the extra dimension it adds.
I can't end this post without noting that the cupcakes in these pictures were the BEST I've ever had! So here's my PSA for today - if you're ever in Chicago or New York make it a priority to stop and stuff your face at Molly's Cupcakes! And when you do, you can scrapbook the memory and reach for your stash of pretty tapes!

Monochromatic card with washi tapes
Hello Love My Tapes fans! This is Maya and today I am going to share a simple monochromatic card.
Washi tapes come in so many different patterns. I like to group them by color and use several tapes from the same color family together. Here I picked black and grey tapes and used them to decorate a simple card.
I added few flowers in the same colors and a sentiment cut with Silhouette Cameo. I can't wait to try this design in different colors.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Party! - Fabric Tape Card
Hello Love My Tapes friends. I cannot believe that it is September already. Marcia here today. I am sharing a card I created using some festive striped fabric tape. I adhered the fabric tape all around the edges mitering the corners. I love how the fabric tape matches this die cut I had in my stash so well.
Doesn't my framed card look so festive! Try using your washi or fabric tapes to create a frame on your next card.
Thanks for stopping by.

Altered album cover with washi ape
As many of you, I accumulated an impressive stash of scrapbook supplies and products that I just had to have because one day I will need them. You know what I am talking about!
So when I was looking for an album for an online class I am taking I decided it was time to shop my stash.
I found a simple 4x6 photo album that needed some alterations.
The first thing that I did was to paint the album cover with gesso. I used sponge to eliminate the brush strokes. I knew I wanted to use "everyday" chipbard sticker so I started from the bottom by layering three pieces of Love My Tapes washi tape and the chipboard sticker.
Next I finished the title using the various letter stickers from my stash and added two more small pieces of washi tape to the top of the cover.
I added gold marker to the grid letters and finished with an arrow paper clip and few pearls.

Lunch box notes
Hello blog readers! It's Jaclyn here today to share with you a simple but meaningful mini card set. With the school year in full swing I, like many of you, spend my mornings waking little sleepyheads, fixing breakfast, packing lunches and gathering backpacks for my kiddos. While packing lunches, I often like to tuck in a litte note to remind them that they are loved, missed and thought of while away at school. Having a slew of these notes premade makes this little surprise all the more doable for this busy mom.
The supplies for this project are simple. You'll need to gather some mini notecards (the ones I've used measure 3x3"), scrap cardstock, a star punch, sentiments stamps, ink pad and an array of pretty washi tapes.
These mini notes are the perfect size to sneak into a lunchbox, but the bright and playful washi patterns are sure to get them noticed - wherever you may hide them!
Have a great day LMT friends!

Fabric Tape Coaster
Hey everyone, Katie here! Today I wanted to share with you guys this coaster I made. What does a quilted coaster have to do with tape? Well, It's simple really, I used Love My Tapes fabric tapes to create the fabric!
I cut a piece of muslin (canvas-like fabric) to the size I wanted and just stuck strips of fabric tape down on top of it. Since it is September, I decided to go with red and yellow and a back-to-school theme. This would make the perfect teacher gift, wouldn't it?
Thanks for stopping by! What are some of your favorite ways to use fabric tape?
