Princess Gift Box

Charity here from Scrappin' Chaos.
While altering this gift box I discovered how fun it is to use washi-tape as ribbon.
~ Princess ~
To begin with I removed the ribbon and magnet that latched the box.
I covered the box with a journaling card and washi tape on the back.

For the front I matched up the designs on the washi and laid the sticky sides together. The tape is very pliable and curved nicely as a bow under the flower.
I again matched my tape back-to-back and added the magnet latch.
A handmade flower and embossed design turn-up the glam on this Princess ready gift box.
These are the tapes I used:

Stunning & Gorgeous

Hello again LMT followers.  I am here to share another layout today.  This time I am mixing lots of different pieces of patterned paper with washi tape.

The purple at the top and the bottom of the page is three strips of Purple Floral washi tape.  I then added a row of the Turquoise Chevron washi.  The colors looked amazing with my photographs and matched some patterned paper I had laying around.

Since I love adding thinner washi to my layouts, I just had to add a couple of strips of this fun Movie Film Washi.

I created my title using my Silhouette Cameo and some cardstock that helps it stand out against the purple floral washi tape.

Thanks for joining me today!

Clean And Simple Cards

Susie here today with a couple more CAS cards.
These Clean And Simple cards require a little bit more work than the set I shared with you last week - but not much!  We all have some fun stamps in our collections, right?  Combining them with ready made images and strips of washi  can help you quickly stockpile some very cute all occasion cards!
The tapes I used for these cards can be found in the Love My Tapes Etsy shop:
Clouds with Love, Red and White, Wood washi tapes
On the first card I started with a double row of coordinating washi tape along the bottom.  I used a stamped sentiment, added a red rhinestone heart and the Snapshot Sticker before adhering it to the black cardstock base.
Here's a close up.  The heart in the kitty's thought bubble actually used to be more pink.  I colored it with a red marker to make it coordinate with the tapes I wanted to use.  Cute and simple!
For the second card I just used a lot more layers of cardstock, choosing the colors of the cardstock and the washi to coordinate with the focal image.
Here's a closeup of the wood grain tape I used.
These cute cards were so fast to make!  I think it took about 20 minutes total for both cards! You can find the supply list on my blog HERE.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you find some time to play (with washi tape) today!

Floral card with wide washi tape

Hello, Love My Tapes fans! This is Maya and today I am sharing a card that I made with wide washi tape.

Most washi tapes that you see on the market come in standard size that is 5/8" wide. There are some that are thinner and some wider.

Love My Tapes has an awesome selection of beautiful wide washi tape, like this one.

It is 1 3/16" wide and can be treated as a miniature patterned paper.

I layered few pieces of washi tape on top of a vellum sheet and cut out the flowers. I than layered them on top of each other using foam tape to create a flower bouquet.

The tape already had the word "flowers", I added the letter stickers to complete the sentiment, pink stickles and few jewels.

Thank you for stopping by today! Happy crafting!

Super Star!

Hi Washi fans!
Stacey here to show you a card that I created that features
some of that awesome washi from Love My Tapes.

To start my card, I needed to create my panel that I would be layering everything on top of.
To do that, I simply took some of the Gold With White Star Washi and started adhering it to a piece of white cardstock in a diagonal pattern all the way across just leaving a little gap in between pieces.

Once I had all my washi laid down, I simply trimmed off the excess.

Here is my finished card:

I thought some gold glitter cardstock would go along perfectly with that awesome washi tape.
I added a strip of black, gold glitter and white with my greeting along the front towards the bottom and then popped up some gold glitter stars with some foam adhesive.

Here is a closer look at the Gold with White Stars Washi:

This tape is so pretty in person and gold seems to be on trend right now.

Selfie with Memere ~ Using Washi Tape on Your Layout

Happy Saturday everyone!
Hopefully you are sleeping in a little... but if not, here is a layout I created just for you this morning ;)

Gold is very trendy in the scrappy world right now.  I am totally obsessed with it!  I created a layout using two of my favorite washi tapes from Love My Tapes!

To create my title, I place stripes of  Copper Candy Stripes Washi Tape onto a piece of white cardstock and cut with my Silhouette.  It's a super easy way to create an original title.  I also used it to create an solid border around my layout!

.  I used some Metallic Gold Triangle Washi Tape to mat my photos.  I also place random pieces of both washi tapes and cut diamond shapes with my Silhouette.  I tore strips and adhered it along the border to soften it up a bit.  I cut the heart shapes by hand.

Chalkboard Birthday cards

Hi Everyone!
Kimberly from Kimberly's Crafty Spot
sharing a few Chalkboard style Birthday cards featuring some fun
Love My Tapes washi tape embellishments.
I made some cute Pom-pom decorations that I thought
would be a fun banner embellishment.

First though, here is a short tutorial on how
I made the fun pom-pom banner embellishments

1) I tore strips of washi tape 2-3 in. long.
2) Fold in half on itself, so it sticks together.
3) Take some sharp scissors and snip along the folded edge to make a fringe.

Then take some tweezers and wrap around
the fringed washi tape to form a circle/flower.

Take the washi pom pom and adhere on a strong glue dot
and press the middle down with a finger tip.
Place on your project!!
So simple but fun!

Here are the Birthday cards I made with the fun pom-poms.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Have a wonderful day!

Love card

Hey everyone, Michelle here today with another card.  I picked out some red/pink washi tape from my stash and stuck some strips on a piece of white cardstock.  Then I used a die to cut out a big heart.  It was a pretty easy card to make.  I just added some sequins and a sentiment and I was done!

You can find lots of love themed washi in the Love My Tapes store!

Paper Fans

Charity here from Scrappin' Chaos.
My fan die and strips of washi tape make the perfect little fans.
Here I've put a pair together for quick gifts.

The first fan is made from strips of washi-tape.
After layering the tape on a scrap of one-sided patterned paper, I positioned the die and cut each fan rib. The red, black, and white of the tape contrasts nicely.
a bit of gold ribbon and a brass brad hold things together.
The second fan is held together with Washi Tape!!!
I folded the tape in half and used it to thread through the fan ribs.
I also used a strip of the folded tape to tie the bow.
Here are the tapes I used:
stripes washi tape - black and white patterns - decorative tape - Love My Tapes
Black and White Stripes

Triangle Washi tape - Masking Tape - Love My Tapes

Bicycle Black and White Washi Tape - LMT 1143 - Love My Tapes
