Happy Monday everyone!

Today I have a layout to share that's full of clean lines, but has quite alot of pop to it!

Using a black & white photo really lets you play with any colors you want, it's a bit freeing actually! Then mounting everything with a little bit of black cardstock helps ground all the different colors.

Right now I am totally addicted to cutting then ends of my tapes into swallow tails.

I even added one of the vintage images from the Canvas Stickers for a touch of whimsy & fun!

Hello my friends! Giovana here with a sweet card for you. Valentine's Day is just around the corner and I want to show a project I made using Red/White Polka dot Fabric Sheet Tape and your favorite dies!
These fabric tapes give your project more texture and they look really pretty :) I found out you can use it with your dies and cutting machines.

Choose your favorite die.
Measure it on top of your fabric sheet and cut a piece.
Adhere your fabric sheet on thin cardstock.
Then run it into your cutting machine like a regular piece of cardstock. You can even emboss it (look at my second picture)
The cute bear is from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps, colored it with Copic Markers.

"It's Not a Dinosaur" layout - JJ Sobey

I created this page to help showcase that you can totally use Love My Tapes products on 'boy' pages. See - you CAN use lace on boy pages. Being 'chose-y' helps. :)

I'm not a banner girl, but this just 'worked' for this layout, and it was super easy with the self-adhesive fabric tape. Just wrap a piece around the wire, and snip.

I added a die-cut piece of fabric from the 'anchors' fabric sheet. And the ink splats were just for fun. :)

A Sketch Challenge Card

Hi friends! It's Ashley here to share a creation with you today. I want to share with you my take on our current challenge here at the Love My Tapes Blog. Did you know that you can win a whole box of Love My Tapes goodies if you play along? What a great prize!! And Giovana made such a fabulous and easy to use sketch. What are you waiting for? For my card, I used the sketch as is but turned the label into a rectangle. I used the 13mm white lace tape on top of the Lemon Bar fabric tape. Super simple but lovely at the same time. This is a sketch that I will use over and over again. The sprinkling of the embellishments makes this so cute.

Boys....

Who says you can't use pink for boys? I know it's not typical but sometimes you just have to break out of the box and use pink or flowers or bling, those typical girly products on you boy layouts!!

On this page I used some of the pink polka dot Fabric Sheet but I paired this with more boyish elements such as the gears. Before I cut the gears I covered some chipboard with the white Newsprint Fabric Sheet, then I colored them blue & green with distress stains.

I really like pink & green together so I added a strip of the Jane Fabric Tape to the top & bottom of the layout. I also used it to cover the hear in the title on my page.

Love My Tapes Sketch Challenge #1

Hello my friends!! Giovana here. Are you ready for our first challenge of the year?? I hope you are. We are so excited to present to you challenges here and I hope you can play along with us. We are starting the new year with a fun challenge, this time is a Sketch! I drew it and JJ translated it into a real one :)

Here is the sketch:

and here is my card. I flipped the sketch so my label sentiment could have a better fit.
I used White and Light Pink Lace Tape Ribbon. I overlapped the ribbons. I adhered a piece of Pink/White Polka Dot Fabric Sheet onto a piece a cardstock. Then I stamped the hearts direct on the fabric sheet, after that I cut them out and ink all edges. I adhered them to my panel with Medium pop dots, I added some Star Dust Stickles to give it a little bit of glitter.

Now, it's your turn to play the challenge. Create a project using the sketch and add your project to the comment section so we can check it out!!!

Snow Angel

The countdown to Christmas has began...only 6 more days! Normally we have a very white Christmas here, but this year there's not much snow around, lots has melted with the higher than normal temps. I do hope we get a little sprinkle on Christmas Eve, just won't seem the same without it.

Today I have a layout to share with you, this is a picture I took of my daughter last winter.

I know that pink is not usually used for winter pages, but I thought it offset the blue in her coat nicely.

The hot pink Fabric Sheet has the texture of suede, I love fell of this stuff! I also used a little light pink Lace Tape and Taffy Fabric Tape for a bit more color on this basically neutral layout.

Hi friends! It's Ashley here to share a Christmas card with you. Can you believe how close it is to Christmas? I can't believe how fast this snuck up on me! There's still time to make a few cards though!

Here's my card. I used some thin white Lace Tape and some Red Stripe Fabric Tape as well. These tapes add a fabulous texture and dimension to your project without adding a lot of bulk. These are great embellishments for mailing, they are very light weight. The papers are from Authentique and the little bling is from Recollections.

"Get Your Art On" layout

Hi Everyone - JJ here again, with another layout. :)

I had fun combining some great fabric sheets and tapes on this page, mixing girly with boyish. Here you can see the brown dot fabric (which I die cut into a tag shape) and the pink reptile fabric. It didn't need the stitching to hold it, but I have a hard time resisting using the sewing machine when fabric is involved.

The white newsprint fabric works on so many projects. I added a little pop of green with the Sherbert mini check fabric tape.

In this picture you can see some of the 15mm beige lace tape and the Brooke Wildflowers fabric tape - so each to create little borders!

I had a few diecut shapes leftover in the brown dot fabric, so I added them on in the corners!

Just a Note(book)

Hi friends, it's Ashley here to share an altered notebook with you. Altered notebooks are great to give as gifts or part of a gift. You can make any size and customize them for the person you are going to give it to. I used the Love My Tapes Lace Tape in Beige. The lace tapes are a perfect embellishment from notebooks because they are flat and adhered all the way down so they will not catch things when you place your notebook in a purse or a backpack.

Hello my friends! Giovana here with a "Thank you" card for you. Probably you are all done with your Christmas cards and need something different.
For my card I used Red/White Polka Dot Fabric Sheet, cut a piece form the sheet, adhered it to a piece of thin cardstock and then die-cut small squares, this way your piece will cut smoothly and it won't stick on your cutting machine. I mat the squares with a embossed fleur de lis piece and adhered it to card. After that I added a strip of White Lace Tape. After that I added the image and stamp the sentiment.

Every year I tell myself to start my Christmas cards early, but I never do and this year is no different. Now that we're in December I decided I better get cracking and make a few...good thing I don't have a big mailing list.

Here are a couple of simple easy cards I made.

On this first card I used the Emily Fabric Tape and some Beige Lace Tape.

For this one I used the red & white polka dot Fabric Sheet as the background with a strip of White Lace Tape at the bottom. This card was so quick but I love the texture of it!

Fabric Tape Christmas Tree

Hi Everyone - JJ here, with another super-fast Christmas project. Grab some green and red fabric tapes from Love My Tapes and a styrofoam tree, and start taping! The self-adhesive nature of these tapes is what makes this a quick project.

I added a few buttons as 'ornaments' on the tree - a little Fabri-tac or a Glue Dot is all it takes.

I cut out a circle of green fabric from one of the fabric sheets, to give a clean finish to the top of the tree, and popped a Maya Road Star trinket pin on top.

I hope you'll give this a try - let me know if you do, I would love to see it. If you liked this Christmas idea, be sure to take a look at this tree I made last year. Full tutorial, because it's a little more complex, but worth the effort.

Christmas Morning

What could be more exciting than Christmas morning? The anticipation to see what goodies Santa has left, the joy of unwrapping all those colorful gifts under the tree!

We have a Christmas Morning tradition in my house (started when I was a little girl), the kids must all wait at the top of the stairs while I sneak down and check to make sure Santa came during the night. Last year I snapped a photo of my kids waiting all sleepy eyed but still full of excitement!

What are your Christmas or holiday traditions? Are they ones that you carried on from when you were a child? What ever your traditions are I hope you've made sure they are present in your scrapbooks.

Easy Christmas Ornaments

Hi Everyone - JJ here. Want a quick & easy Christmas ornament project? Something that your kids can do, too? Grab a few plain Christmas balls and some Love My Tapes fabric and lace tapes in festive colours, and have at it! What's fantastic about these (and why they work so well on the clear balls) is that the adhesive is clear, so they still look good even from the reverse. And truly - this is super easy, because it's like applying masking tape!

For this first ornament, I used the 17mm cream lace for the stripes, and the 15mm cream lace around the top to camouflage the base. I cut out some holly from the polka dot fabric sheets (FS023 (green) also self-adhesive).

The second ornament showcases the fabric sheets again, but this time cut with a large Tim Holtz die. The base is wrapped with the 13mm white lace.

For these two, I used the fabric tapes, and wrapped the bases with the 12mm green lace tape.

All of the ornaments have coordinating 'strings' made from the fabric tapes folded over on themselves. This ornament features the Red Stripe "Royal" FT025 fabric tape.

And this one shows the Mini checks "Peppermint" fabric tape.

I don't think these ornaments took more than 1/2 hour total - I hope you'll give it a try!

'Tis The Season

My favorite time of year is coming....Christmas! I love all the twinkling lights, decorations, food and of course spending time with family & friends!

To help start getting in the spirit I have a Christmas layout to share today.

For me Christmas is all about the color red, so I automatically reached for the red & white polka dot Fabric Sheet. I added bits of Lace Tape throughout the layout for a little extra texture.

I hope this layout gets you in the mood of the season!!

Hello my friends!! Giovana here with a Clean and Simple yet elegant Christmas Card! I made several of these cards using Ivory and White Lace Ribbon Tape. Just the perfect accent to make my card beautiful and elegant.

Directions:

Make card base from Ivory/White CS. A2 size.
Score the front of your card at 1/4" each side and 1/2" bottom side. Score also on top and bottom part where you are going to add the tape ribbon.
Stamp sentiment and image in Versamark Ink and add Gold Embossing powder. Heat it up.
Add Ivory/White Lace Tape Ribbon (to match your card base)
Voila!! You are done!!

Masculine Guest Book

One of my staff members is retiring today and we're having a little reception for him. I made this mini book to use as a guest book for all his friends & peers to wish him well on his new life journey.

I wanted to keep the book quite masculine and this Fabric Sheet was just right, I cut it using one of the Tim Holtz Sizzix dies. To add a finishing touch to the 'spine' of the book I added one of the Striped Fabric Tapes which I stained green with Distress Stain to match the umbrella man.

I hope he enjoys his book and all the wonderful message his friends & peers write to him!

"Miramichi" layout

Hi Everyone! JJ here again with another layout. This time I wanted to show you a project where I altered the lace and fabric with Tattered Angels products.

The 21mm white (LT1007) lace was painted with Pink Lipstick glimmer glam, and the blue stripe "Silverton" (FT023) tape was painted with the Shy Violet glimmer glaze. I peeled the backing off, placed the tape on my non-stick splat mat, and misted & painted away. Once they were dry, I just peeled them up and stuck them on my page. The adhesive was still just as strong as ever!

This photo demonstrates how much of a difference Chalkboard mist can make on a piece of fabric. The tan self-adhesive fabric is the original colour and the teal fabric is the same fabric misted with Teal High Heel chalkboard. It was a happy discovery to find the white anchors resisted the mist!

Take a second look at your favorite Love My Tapes products - you can get even more uses from them if you try altering the colour!

Hello my friends! Giovana here with a simple and pretty Birthday card. I used Lemon bar Mini check Fabric tape to create the bacground of my card. I think it looks really pretty and elegant :)

Directions:

Make card base from White Cardstock. A2 size.
Cut strips of fabric tape and adhere them to card to create your background.
Cut a strip of cardstock, punch border and ink all edges. Stamp sentiment. Adhere it to card.
Add mini pearls to any other flower.
Add crocheted flowers and paper flower.
Add Star Dust Stickles to paper flower.

You are strong and beautiful

Hello my friends! Giovana here with a clean and simple card, where the lace tape ribbon is the star :)

The stamps used in this card are from the new Gina K. Designs release and it's called "Strength and Hope"

I stamped the image and sentiment on Watercolor Paper, colored the ribbon with reinkers. I sponged all the edges mat it with Pink Cardstock and add straight stitches. Add panel to card,add pink rhinestones, then add the Dark Pink Lace Tape Ribbon. This ribbon makes the card really pop and very elegant. Perfect card to give to a Breast Cancer Survivor or somebody who is fighting it.

Fabric Tape Banner

Hi friends! It's Ashley here to share a project with you today. I'm sure you all know how popular banners are and I just wanted to show you how simple it is to make a banner from fabric tape.

To make the banner, you use have a select what size you'd like your flags and cut the tape pieces to that length. I used Mini Check Fabric Tape in Taffy, Sherbet, and Lemon Bar. Then cut the Vs into each end and stick them to the paper using either a piece of twine or string as the rope for the banner. I used Divine Twine.

I'd like to point out the stamp in this card. It is a Swimming For Katie stamp from i {heart} papers (an online store that sells Love My Tapes.) These stamps are to benefit my friend and fellow crafter, Katie Renz who is battling gastric cancer. If you can, please purchase a stamp. I have an incentive for you. "Lucky" layout

Hi everyone! JJ here with another layout featuring lots of great fabric and lace from Love My Tapes. The newsprint canvas (FS007 ) is from one of the self-adhesive fabric sheets - so easy to use!

I die-cut these gears from one of the faux suede fabric sheets (FT010 ). I just love the texture of these. The self-adhesive sheets work great with my sizzix dies.

No reason why you can't use lace on a 'boy' page (this is the 12mm tan lace tape (LT0024)). Smaller scale and more boyish colours make it work. The checked pattern is one of the fabric tapes Mini-check mix (FT018). The stitching is just for looks. :)

Mixed Media

Even though the temps outside here are still just like summer my mind is already starting to prepare for Christmas....so I have a little Christmas project to share with you today!

I've always loved art (all forms) and recently have fallen head over heals for creating mixed media canvases. I was browsing the web all over and came across THIS fabulous Christmas canvas by Christy Tomlinson...she is totally fabulous!! As soon as I saw her Christmas tree canvas I was totally inspired to create my own!

To make the tree I used pieces of scrap paper, Lace Tape & some Fabric Sheet died with Distress Stains. The deer was cut out using a Sizzix die and THIS Fabric Sheet. I also covered a chipboard star for the top of my tree using the Lemon Bar Fabric Tape.

"Butterfly" Hallowe'en Layout

Hi everyone - JJ here, with a girlie Hallowe'en layout. For this layout I wanted to really bring in a softness to the halloween theme by adding flowers and lots of lace. I used 3 different laces, but it's not overwhelming because they are all the same shape, creating repetition.

For this page I used the 12mm lace in lime green, light pink and black. So easy to add a little shabby chic to almost any theme with these laces - hope you give it a try!

Celebrate "Picture frame"

Hello LMT fans!! Giovana here with a new project for you. This time I decided to embellish a plain picture frame. I got this picture frame from my LSS. I traced the shape of the frame onto Patterned Paper to cover the back of the frame and onto Dark Pink Fabric Sheet, cut them out and adhere them to the frame. Then, I stamped onto the fabric sheet, I used White pigment and it looks fantastic!!, for the sentiment I used Black soot from Ranger Industries, the deep black from this ink creates a great contrast. I added White Lace Tape Ribbon all around the frame and for the window area.
I decorated it with stamp images that coordinated with my daughter's picture. It was taken last year during the snow season (that lasted forever, LOL)

You know when you finish a layout and it is missing something?

It seems like lately I reach for these beautiful lace tapes from Love My Tapes!

and it's the perfect touch! They go with all types of projects and I love that

I don't have to add the adhesive and get it all over the place (except where I

truly want it!) because it's already on there and it stays where I put it!

Fabric Tape Headband

Hi friends! It's Ashley here today to share a fun project with you! This is a a pretty fast craft that you can put together for all sorts of things! You can make a headband to match your outfit or you can give these away as a gift.

All I did was take a plain headband and wrap it in some Baylee Fabric Tape. This was really simple to do. It didn't take too much tape, you could probably make 5-6 headbands from one roll of tape! The flower is from Hair Doodles. I have tons of flowers from there and now I can make cute headbands to match!

One in a Million card

Hello my friends! Giovana here with a CAS card. This time I used the pretty Dark Lace Ribbon tape as an accent to my project. Super easy!!

Directions:

Make card from White Cardstock. 5" square.
Cut a panel from White CS (4.5" square), ink all edges. Stamp image and highlight borders.
Stamp 1 little flower, die-cut, color it and adhere it to card.
Stamp sentiment.
Adhere Dark Pink Lace Ribbon Tape.

Card Recipe:

2. Stamps: Hydrangea/Posy Branch, Posy Patch Flowers (Heartfelt Creations)

3. Ink: Memento Sweet Plum (Tsukineko), Black Soot Distress (Ranger Industries)

Creepy Coffin

Today I want to share a fun little Halloween project with you. Next to Christmas my favorite holiday is Halloween....all that candy YUM!! Ok it's not all about the candy, I also love to go all out with the decorations.

Here is a fun little decoration I made to add to my Halloween display. I started by covering the lid with this leather like Fabric Sheet, the feel of this is so amazing.

Once I had the lid covered I wanted to grunge it up a bit, so I stamped using Stazon, and I also used embossing powders to make some of the images pop!

I added a little black Lace Tape to the edges of the lid to finish it off.

To finish off the inside of the coffin I added some paper & stamps to the underside of the lid, and of course had to add a spooky little skeleton!

I hope that this project will help you think a little outside the box (no pun intended) and try different things with your Fabric Sheets & Lace Tapes!

Fabric Sheet Flower Card

Hi friends! It's Ashley here to show you a card today.

I decided to make a flower by layering hand cut circles of the FS035 fabric and the Fs034 fabric. After cutting the concentric circles, I inked the edges for a little color and then layered them. One of those most awesome thing about this flower is that it's VERY flat making it mail friendly. Most handmade flowers are hard to mail. I used Imaginisce paper, a Lawn Fawn stamp and some seam binding as well for this card.

Hello Love My Tapes fans! Hope you had a great weekend. Today's card is easy using a couple of my favorite products: Lace Ribbon and Fabric Sheet Tape. My card was done in no time and ready to be sent to my coffee lover friend :) The image and sentiment are from "Cool Beans" by Gina K. Designs.

Directions:

Make a card base form Ivory Cardstock. 5.5" x 4.25"
Emboss bottom part of your front card.
Adhere Dark Pink Lace Tape Ribbon.
Stamp sentiment in Vintage Photo Distress Ink.
Die-cut a piece of Leather Fabric Sheet using Square Nestabilities. Adhere it to card.
Stamp image onto White CS, color it with Markers. Die-cut, emboss and stencil piece with Square Nestabilities. Add Glitter to small parts of image.
Add Pink Rhinestones.

TIP: To get a nice and smooth cut, add a piece of paper at the bottom of you sandwich plate, it will take few times, when you see the paper is all die-cut that means your fabric tape is cut out too!!

I am having so much fun with Love my Tapes -

this is fabric ribbon with the adhesive already on the back!

This one is called Chloe polka dots

and it matches Ta Da's papers Goody Two Shoes collection perfectly!

The album is from Clear Scraps.

Crinkling up your ribbon makes a great accent and

because there is already adhesive on the back it makes it super easy to do!

If you haven't checked out these tapes, you should -

they have almost every color you can think of!

Hi friends! It's Ashley here today to share a fun project with you. My friend Andrea from Home Sweet Creations asked me to work on some boutique packaging options for her. I wanted to share with you one of the options I came up with.

For this project, I used the LT2005 Beige Lace tape for this project. I feel like it added so much class and beauty to this simple candle. I used just a few elements to the candle and I really think it looks ready for a boutique.

Hello Lisa here with a little fabric sheet inspiration for the weekend!

I'm sure every scrapper, card maker or paper crafter has at least one color they shy away from, for me it's purple. The funny thing is I really do like purple and my daughter Sami wears it quite often, so I'm not sure why I seem to hold a grudge against this color.

I pulled out one of the Fabric Sheets with purple polka dots, and knew I had the perfect photo to go with it. Rather than digging for any more purple papers I used the Fabric Sheet instead of pattern paper! Oh and I happen to find a piece of purple paper too. ;) I love the added texture the Fabric Sheets bring to a layout.

Under the year I layered some of the Sophie fabric tape and Lace Tape as a backdrop.

I added couple more layers using the Jane Fabric Tape and some more Lace Tape to balance off the bottom and add some more texture.

As you can see my strip of the Jane Fabric Tape is very skinny...you can rip the tapes just like you would regular fabric. All you need to do is snip it with some scissors and rip!

I hope I've inspired you to pull out some Fabric Sheets and get creative this weekend!

Directions:

Make card from white cardstock.
Cut a piece from white/red sheet of fabric, die-cut it 3 times using Circle Nestabilities.
Stamp image and ink all edges.
Adhere Beige Lace Ribbon and dew drops.
Cut out the Hello Hello sentiment from Canvas Retro Stickers.

One of the things I love about "Love My Tapes" are the self adhesive lace ribbons!
They are gorgeous, there are colors to match everything and the adhesive never shows!
I used the light pink Love my Tapes lace tape, the color is a perfect match!

Lately my baby girl has turned into a mini ballerina and this pretty light pink
is the perfect color for your tiny dancers!

I also used the Goody Two Shoes collection from Ta Da Creative Studios,

Prima flowers, tulle, wired pearls, Momenta and American Crafts Alphas.

(The heart shape was a cardboard display form a retail store- they were

going to throw it out! My oldest salvaged it! She knew I would use it! What a good girl!)

This will be perfect for baby girls room.

I think she gets it.

I made this layout for my friend who was moving away. She wanted scrapbook pages as mementos of all her friends. We put our addresses on the back so she would have a way to get in touch with us. Isn't that a fun "address" book idea? I used THIS beige lace tape and THIS beige lace tape as well. I also used the Jane Fabric tape on this layout.

Hello! Giovana here with an altered project for you. For this project I used a piece of Fabric Sheet, some of the new Canvas Retro Stickers and my favorite WHite Lace Tape Ribbon!!
I covered the frame with a piece of Polka Dot Fabric Sheet, inked all edges, added White Lace Tape Ribbon and Purple Twine. I cut out the girl image and sentiment from the Canavas sheet, adhered them onto cardstock and them adhered them to the frame with heavy sticky dots. Added puple and clear rhinestones and a paper flower.

Very easy and quick project to make.

"Mini-go for 2" Layout

Hi Everyone. JJ here again with another layout, this time featuring more of the fabric sheets and fabric tapes.

The larger striped red, white & blue piece is one of our fabric sheets (FS019). I lightly frayed the edges for a little texture. It wasn't actually easy to fray - the adhesive on these sheets really keeps everything together.

Of course, an easy way to use the tapes is as a simple border strip. I added small circles die-cut from the fabric sheet.

For the green layer I wanted more than just a little strip, so lined up several pieces of the Jane green polka-dot fabric tape to make it look like a larger piece of fabric. The blue stripe fabric tape (FT020) and 12mm pink lace tape were quick ways to bring in a little of the colours in the photo. I'm particularly enamored with the lace tapes - I find myself reaching for them for most of my layouts lately.

For the circular piece here, I placed 3 strips of fabric tape on a piece of cardstock, then put it through my die cut machine.

Tapes for Simple Cards

Hi friends! It's Ashley here to share some projects with you today. I wanted to show how a few strips of tape is really all you need for a card. Easy peasy and it really gives a lot of pretty details to the cards.

My first card uses our awesome Fabric Tapes! I used Brown Stripe tape, Baylee tape, and Jane tape. I cut the butterfly out of one of our canvas sheets. The stamp is from Unity Stamp Co.

My second card uses dark pink, 15 MM beige, and and 17 MM beige lace tapes. The teddy bear is from a Love My Tapes canvas sheet and the sentiment is from Unity Stamp Co.

Hello my friends! Giovana here with a "Clean & Simple" card for you, using Fabric Tape.

Directions:

Make card base from White cardstock.
Die-cut a square panel. Cover panel with Mini Check Peppermint Fabric Tape. Add some Twine around, foam tape and adhere panel to card.
Stamp image, die-cut, emboss and stencil it. Adhere it to card.
Stamp sentiment and add Red Rhinestones.

'Snapshot' Layout

Today I have a more masculine layout to share using the fabric tapes, lace tapes & canvas sticker sheet.

Instead of digging through my pattern paper stash for this layout I pulled out my Love My Tapes stash along with some tags I had to create my page.

I used the blue & white Striped, Jane, and Peppermint fabric tapes to make the strips, with a little piece of Lace tape peeking out the bottom for extra texture.

The colors of the tapes & lace were a little brighter than the look I was going for on my page so I pulled out my distress inks to grunge them up a bit.

This vintage camera is from one of the Canvas Sticker sheets....I just love this image and it was perfect for my page.

Have fun with your tapes, ink them up to alter the color to what you need and don't be afraid to use that lace tape on a masculine page!

First Birthday Layout

Hi friends! It's Ashley here to share a project with you. I hope you are all having a wonderful week!

I'm sharing a layout with you all today but don't get used to it! ;) I'm a card girl at heart. I made this layout of my youngest son. These are the pictures we took for his first birthday. Awwww, I miss the "babyness." I used the 19 MM white lace tape and the 21 MM white lace tape on this. I broke those up by using the Striped Fabric Tape in both red and blue. The paper is from Echo Park's Little Boy, the big letters are Thickers and the little alpha stickers are from My Little Shoebox.

"Poser" layout

Hi Everyone - JJ here, and I'm kinda excited to be making my first post for Love My Tapes!

Have you ever tried using fabric tape for more than just a small accent? It's so pretty, it deserves a bit of the spotlight, I think - so I used the Brooke fabric tape to create a border around part of my layout.

I used some of the dark pink lace tape as a border strip. I love these lace tapes - so much easier to adhere than regular lace - no messing with adhesive that will show through.

The pink 'reptile' fabric sheets have such great texture:

I die-cut a flourish from the fuchsia suede fabric sheet for a pop of colour. The fabric sheets die-cut beautifully with the deep sizzix dies.

I cut wobbly circles from the brown dot/floral fabric, and roughly sewed around them, for a little contrast.

Fun Vintage Cards

Hi friends! This is Ashley N Newell and I'm here today to share a couple cards with you that I made with some of my very favorite Love My Tapes products! I love making vintage and shabby chic cards and it's very easy to do with our lace tapes! Also, the canvas sheets offer a lot of fun vintage images to use.

On my first card I used a TON of Love My Tapes products! The main image is from one of our Canvas Sheets. I used the 19mm white lace tape for this. The lace tapes are SOOO easy to use, they already have adhesive on the back so all you have to do is trim them and stick them on! It's a dream! I also added the Jane and Pink Striped fabric tape. I layered these things with some Webster's Pages paper and a Unity Stamp sentiment.

Here's another card using our canvas sheets for the main image and the sentiment. I also used some lace tape for this. The paper is from Echo Park Be Mine and I added a doily.

Love Card

Hello my friends, Giovana here with a cute and simple card. For my project I used 2 different kind of tape ribbons: Beige Lace Ribbon and Mini Check Peppermint Ribbon.

To create the Lace Rosette I started with a piece of 1.5" Circle Cardstock, start folding the lace ribbon starting from the outside edge and keep doing it until you get the center. Add a big gold brad and you rosette is ready! (Remember that the lace already has adhesive on the back so wrapping & folding is so easy!)

I took the Mini Check Peppermint Ribbon and cut a couple of pieces about 2.5" long, snipped the sides and peel the back paper and adhere it to my piece of cardstock.

I embossed the top and bottom of the panel and add some Start Dust Stickles. Stamp a sentiment and VOILA!!

Fun with fabric tape

Today I have a layout to share with you where I used some of the fabric tapes in fun and different ways. Before I talk about the layout I have to say that I am totally in love with the fabric tapes, the adhesive is so sticky and there are so many things you can do with them!

Here's the whole layout, I got a little messy with this one and even went a bit outside my comfort zone...but I had so much fun creating it.

I covered the top of the little tag peeking above the photo with Lemon Bar fabric tape, when you pull the tag out it reveals a little photo of the rock my daughter is holding.

Banners are still a pretty hot trend right now and using the fabric tapes to make your own is so easy! I made my banner using some bakers twine and Penny fabric tape. To make your own banner just cut a number of fabric tape strips the same size, peel the backing off then fold over the bakers twine, once you have all your pieces in place use your scissors to cut the tails. Voila you have a custom banner to match your project!

Using the same idea as the banner I made my own mini flag. Here I wrapped the tape around a stick pin, cut the tails then using some Stazon I stamped the word sweet. Wouldn't this be great for birthday cards or cupcake toppers?

I really wanted to make a boarder with the fabric tapes so I pulled out my On The Edge Sizzix dies and cut the Taffy fabric tape into these fun little boarders.

I even managed to get a little piece from one of the new Canvas Sticker Sheets on my layout, the piece with the stars & circles peeking under 2011.

Altered Items with Fabric Sheets

Hi friends! This is design team member Ashley to show you a fun project you can do with our awesome Fabric Sheets to alter a frame. Let me tell you, these fabric sheets made it SO remarkably easy to alter this picture frame. From there, you can decorate it any way you'd like for a fun project and a beautiful gift idea!

All you have to do it peel the backing off the fabric sheet and place the frame on the fabric. Then trim off the excess, you can do this with ultra sharp scissors or a craft knife. I choose to ink the edges with some Memento ink to add a bit of age to this project. The butterfly was also cut from a fabric sheet, I just ran it through my Cuttlebug twice and it was able to die cut it then I added the pearls. I added our beautiful Lace Tape and then used our Lily Fabric Tape to make the flowers adding a gem in the center and free hand cut the leaves from our Jane Fabric Tape. In the middle of the frame, I put a stamped image and sentiment.

CHA Summer 2011: Fun & Fabulous!

We had a fabulous CHA Summer 2011!

Love My Tapes has been known for our quality & value in our double-sided adhesive runners for years ---- but not as many show attendees had seen or heard about our "fun" products yet. People would be race-walking past our booth on a mission to get to the concessions, to Jillibean Soup (nearby) or to Bella Blvd (nearby) when they would practically skid to a halt! {insert sound of squealing brakes here, lol }

Let me share with you our stars from the show that literally stopped people in their tracks:

Those lace tapes are my favorite. Aren't they fabulous? They are beautiful --- but with a super-strong adhesive that will stick to the peskiest of surfaces. You've got to feel it to believe it!

Retro Canvas Stickers. Fun & kitschy!

Fabric Sheets (Adhesive Backed)

These babies are SO much fun. You can't believe the texture you'll feel in person. The faux leather *feels* like leather! The animal prints *feel* like faux fur! The others are printed canvas. Run these babies through your die-cut machine and create your own custom, mixed media pieces!

Tuesday Tape Tip

Hello Tape Fans! I hope you had a fantastic holiday weekend! It's Tuesday and we have a quick and fun tape tip for creating a handmade border for your scrapbook pages or cards! I love these Martha Stewart doilies and our Jane fabric tape is perfect for creating a fun banner using these.

Choose any doily you fancy and cut it in half with a paper trimmer

Then lay them in a row so you can cover the top of each doily with tape

Then the tape over the back and it will hold the doilies like this

You can leave it just the way it's shown above or you can take your sewing machine and add a stitch

I also created a smaller banner for a card and added some buttons

These banners are fun and easy to create. I hope you'll create a banner using our fabric tapes and link it to this post so I can stop by and see your creation! Thanks for stopping by today!!

Cutting Fabric Sheets with your Cricut

Hey tape fans! We're cutting our Fabric Sheets with Cricut today! First they will cut with a reg blade or deep edge blade set at max for speed and pressure. I recommend cutting the same image over again and all you do is unload and reload and it will cut again in the same spot.

Load you fabric sheet fabric face down and smooth on really well to your Cricut mat. If you have the original cricut then cut the fabric to fit the 6X12 mat. I have found when choosing images do not choose ones with detailed cuts. Keep it simple like this bird house from the Cindy Lou cart.

Again set your speed to max and pressure to max and choose what size you want to cut. For this project I cut mine at 5 inches. Then push cut and when it's done peel back fabric sheet.

Punch out the holes.

Now cut the same size image on matching cardstock and use the shadow function so you can layer the fabric sheet over the solid card stock die.

Now just peel off the back of your fabric sheet and layer over the cardstock and you're ready to add it to a gift bag, scrapbook page or card!!!

Tuesday Tape Tip with Guest Vera Yates Ling

Hi tape fans! We've got a fantastic tutorial for today's Tuesday tape Tip from our guest Vera Yates Ling!

Vera is a very talented card maker and very sweet person. I was really happy to meet Vera in Chicago at CHA. She is a talented card maker whom I met in the Hero Arts Flickr group and she made the Top 5 for Gallery Idol this year with her amazing creations! Vera loves our products and send me the link to this adorable tutorial she did using our fabulous adhesive! Yes you heard right, our adhesive hold ribbon beautifully! So enjoy today's tip from Vera and then leave us a comment telling us what you think!

Ribbon Fish Tutorial

It might take you a couple trial & error to get the fish looks right. The first time I did this fish for Gallery Idol, I didn't have any direction on how to do it. I basically figured it out myself just by looking at the end result. Took me at least an hour for my first try. This time, it only took 10 minutes.

Step 1: Using a 5/8" ribbon, cut it to about 7"-8". I prefer longer, so you can play with it easier. Overlap them just like in the picture below. The opening in between t he 2 ribbon is basically the fish mouth. You can adjust it to however big or wide you want the mouth to be and glue the overlap ribbon. I used "Love My Tapes" permanent adhesive for this. And make sur eyou only glue the very top part to the 2nd, and not to the 3rd or bottom layer or you'll end up with sickly looking fish with flat head. You want the head to puff a bit. Puffy head = healthy fish. :)

Step 2: To tie the body together, I folded my 5/8" ribbon in half & glued it (see the skinny strip above). If you have a skinnier ribbon, then you can use the skinny ribbon for it. Now, you want to pinch the ribbon together, like the picture below.

Step 3: Using a glue dot, wrap the skinny ribbon around the body. Make sure you put the glue dot on the back side to keep the fish look neat. Cut the end of both end, so it looks like fish tail.

Cut two 2" long skinny ribbon for the fin. Or if you don't have one, cut the 5/8" ribbon in half like I did. If you do this, then you have to seal the fray end with the tip of hit glue gun or used a lighter. Just remember, fire hot! If you use lighter, make sure you don't get the fire too close. Only close enough to get it sealed the edges. Sorry, couldn't take pic for when I did this since hubby wasn't anywhere close when I did this, so no second person to take the pic & I can't hold lighter & camera at the same time.

Step 4: Overlap & glue the 2" ribbon like shown below.

Step 5: Glued the fin to the body. As you can see, on the above picture I attached the fin right in the middle of the body. That was wrong position. The picture below show the right position. Add a wiggly eye and you're done!!

So, what you think? Easy, right? With a fish like this, you don't need much of anything else to make your card shine. I made a super simple, CAS looking card. I do adore my fish.

More ribbon pleating with fabric tape

Hello tape fans! Today I wanted to share a sample I created for CHA using our fabulous Penny Fabric Tape and more ribbon pleating.

Supplies: Love My Tapes Adhesive and Penny Fabric Tape. Stamped images Unity Stamp Company sentiment and Hero Arts Heart. Papertrey Ink ribbon. Cosmo Cricket patterned paper.

You can easily recreate this project by stamping the heart stamp from Hero Arts and cutting the image out. Then layer a piece of card stock behind the stamp and cut out a shadow shaped heart. Then start at the right side of the heart and start your ribbon pleating with the fabric tape until you've gone around the whole shape. Then use pop dots behind the stamped image and layer it over the pleated tape and assemble your card
Pretty easy right?

Cards for Kids was started by designer Jennifer McGuire who is a very talented and designs for Hero Arts stamps. Jen collects hand made cards for sick children and their families from whoever would like to create a card or cards and mail them into her. Tuesday Tape Tip

Hello Tape fans!! Today we've got a super quick and easy way to use our Fabric Sheets on your cards. Our fabric sheets aren't loaded in the store just yet but they will be in another week or so. Here's a peek at some of our styles:

Now onto this week's tip!

Look how easy fabric sheets can be used as a background for your favorite card designs!

I created this 6x6 card by simply cutting my cardstock 6x12 and folding it and then I cut a 6x6 piece of leopard print fabric sheet and peeling that backing off to apply directly onto my cardstock.

Then I printed my peace sign and sentiment onto the cardstock and trimmed it to 5 1/2 X 5 1/2 and used glue dots on foam pop dots to secure it to the front of my card. I added some i-rock bling from Imaginisce with my i-rock heat tool to bling out my peace symbol.

Here's a close-up so you can see the texture of the fabric sheet.

The possibilities really are endless with these fabric sheets. You can run them through your Spellbinder dies, Cuttlebug, Sizzix, Cricut, Slice...you name it.

Fabric Tape Tutorial by Sarah Martina

Hello Tape Fans! We have a special treat for you today! The very talented Sarah Martina Parker has created a fabulous card tutorial for you with our Fabric Tapes!

Hey y’all! Sarah here, and I’m ready to get our hands dirty and try out this project using some of the finest fabric tape on the market by the one and only Love My Tapes! Let’s get right to it, shall we?

Here are your materials:

· A2 size card in cream card stock
· 4.25 x 5.5” piece of cream felt
· Love My Tapes fabric tape
· Label #9 Die shape
· Cream Felt
· Twine
· CSS Sentiment Stamp
· Fluid chalk ink
· Decorative flower and ribbon

This is the card that we will be making today. I have always loved window cards, so this fabric tape is just perfect for providing an interesting background to your window.

Trim the top and bottom edges of your felt piece using a scalloped rotary trimmer.

Use label-shaped die cut in center of piece of felt

Use the cut out shape of your felt to determine where you will need to place your decorative tape. Use a pencil or pen to mark down the size of the die cut shape to help you estimate.

Lay down 4-6 strips of decorative tape, one on top of the other, creating a super elegant and fun background. Be sure to remain in the area you marked off in Step 3.

Stamp sentiment onto felt using fluid chalk ink below the label-shaped cut out.

Adhere stamped felt piece to card base using foam adhesive. This creates the “window” on the front of your card, featuring the lovely fabric tape.

Add flower, twine, ribbon & pearl embellishments to spruce up the card design just a tad.

I'm so excited that I got to meet Courtney at the Super Show in Chicago a few weeks ago and she was just as sweet as I imagined her. Courtney designs her own stamps and has an online store all while working full time too! I am amazed by her energy and creativity!

Tuesday Tape Tip

Hello tape fans! Since we returned from CHA I've been talking up our latest product, Fabric Sheets! They drew a lot of interest in Chicago at the trade show and fans have been emailing us asking questions about these fantastic new products.
So here's some info for our fans:

They are 8 1/2 X 11 in size
They are self adhesive so you do not have to run them thru a Xyron machine to make them sticky...Yay!
We have 38 different styles available
They will be available at Love My Tapes.com soon and are $6.00 per sheet plus shipping.
You can sew them with your sewing machine.
They are washable but I have not dried them in a dryer only laid flat to dry.
You can use most die cutting machine with them. I have cut them in my Sizzix, Cricut and Slice.

For this weeks Tuesday Tape Tip I used the Slice to create this card project with Paper from GCD Studios and Stamps from Unity Stamp Co.

I was able to cut the Fabric Sheets on my Slice with the back on and I tried peeling the backing off the Fabric Sheets and placing the fabric directly on the cutting surface. Both ways worked but without the backing on the Fabric Sheets you do have to use the Slice spatula to lift your die cuts off the glass.
Either way I got a clean cut very easily and the result is beautiful.

For more tips check out You Tube for Slice videos on cutting fabric. Because our Fabric sheets are self adhesive you don't have to bother with fusible webbing. Isn't that cool!

Hello Tape fans! I love Mondays! It's the fresh start of a new week that inspires me to love Mondays so much. I was thinking that since we love Monday's so much we should start the week off with a little creativity!
I've been following the blog A Creative Mint for sometime now and Leslie's photographs inspire me with all the variations of colors she uses and the way the items she photographs are arranged. I love that she is also a fan of tape {wink}

So your challenge for this Monday should you choose to accept it is to create a card based on this photo from A Creative Mint and post it on your blog and link back to this post here at Love My Tapes and Friday we'll feature all of your projects and choose 1 entry using Random.org to win a Love My Tapes prize pack.

Bonnie used our yummy Lemon Bar gingham fabric tape to create this beautiful border on her card. Other supplies include paper from Cosmo Cricket and Stamped Sentiment from Paper Makeup Stamps.

Fabric Sheets!

Love My Tapes Fabric Sheets come in 38 different styles and retail for $6. per sheet. They are 8 1/2 X 11 in size and have adhesive on the back side so you don't have run them thru a Xyron machine. Love My Tapes Fabric Sheets are perfect for your favorite die cutting machine.

Hello tape fans! It's winner day here at Love My Tapes! We were so thrilled to meet so many of you at the CHA Super Show last week in Chicago.
This was my first Summer show and Supershow and I must say that I was truely honored to meet the very talented Ashley Cannon Newell. I have long admired her beautiful card designs and sweet spirit that shines thru on her blog A New Design. I'm so glad her husband snapped this cute pic of us.

We had so much fun creating tags with all the ladies that stopped by the booth for our make and take with Unity Stamp Company's Melody Ross Stamp set and GCD Studios paper. Here's a few pics I snapped of a couple of sweet girls who stopped by our booth

Tuesday Tape Tip

Hello Tape Fans! Today we have a special treat for our tape fans. I have done my first video tutorial on how to make a vintage fabric tape flower.

Supplies: Love My Tapes Fabric Tape: Sherbert, October Afternoon patterned paper, Imaginisce i-Top Tool, Kaisercraft Pearls and Stickles.

Now I must disclose this is my first ever video tutorial but I think you'll be able to easily re-create these flowers. I had to cut the end of the video short but you only missed me showing the flower which the pic is here and saying "thanks for joining me for today's Tuesday tape tip" because it needs to be 10 minutes or less so I promise my next video will be in the right amount of time.

CHA Wrap-up

Hello Tape Fans! It was so great to meet all of you at the CHA Trade & Consumer show last week in Chicago. We really enjoyed talking to all of you and sharing our fabulous fabric tapes and adhesives with you.The My Little Shoebox All About Family class was so much fun!

We sponsored the class with our double sided adhesives and the students really enjoyed our product. We'd like to thank Erin Yamabe for all her hard work in getting everything arranged for a super class. Thank you as well to Helen and all the MLS girls who helped make the class a huge success! The mini album we created turned out really cute!

We were thrilled to have Cath from Moxie Fab World and Susan Opel from Papercrafts magazine come by the booth. They both loved our trendy fabric tapes!

We were also thrilled to meet Christine from Scraptime. She snapped these fab pics of our booth!

I left the house at 5 a.m. this morning to catch my flight and we're arriving in Chicago today and setting up the booth for the CHA Summer Trade Show. It's going to be so much fun to share our wonderful adhesive and fabric tapes with all the retailers, designers and media that are attending the show.
The crafting community is a really tight knit group and these twice yearly trade shows are a great way to meet our customers and fans.
Here's a peek at one of the samples I created for the show with our chocolate fabric tape and the fun new Birthday Bash line from Imaginisce as well as a fabulous image from Unity Stamp Company's July Kit Of The Month.

Super Show Make and Take and a Giveaway!!

Hello Tape Fans! I can hardly believe that it's only a few days til the Craft and Hobby Association Trade Show in Rosemont Illinois. I'll be flying in Monday afternoon and it will be my first visit to Chicago.
