Hello and Happy Thursday!
I hope November has been good, thus far and you have been able to get some crafting in!
Today, we would like to feature one of newest Design Team members, Ashley Horton. Ashley joined the LMT DT back in September and has shared in our passion (some call it obsession) of all things washi. :)
She brings so much enthusasium and creativity to the DT and we just love having her on board.
Let's get to know Ashley a little better.
How long have you been crafty? What got you started in creating ART?
I started Scrapbooking in 2006. A friend invited me to a Creative Memories Crop, that one of the Ladies at our Church hosted. We had our first daughter around that time and I thought it might be a fun way to preserve some of her photos. I was hooked from the very minute I got there!!
What is a craft tool you can’t live without?
I would have to say my Laptop…even though it’s not technically a Craft Tool. I use it for editing and printing my photos. I like to type a lot of my journaling. And I also use it along with my Cricut Expression, to create custom die cuts and titles for my pages.
What is your favorite Love My Tapes product?
There is so much great variety with the Fabric, Lace and Washi Tape, so it makes it hard to choose just one!! But I really LOVE the Teal Diagonal Striped Washi Tape! I use it on almost all of my layouts lately!!
If you could create your own LMT product, what would it be?
I know that Love My Tapes has a Wood Grain pattern, but it would be really cool to have an actual thin Wood veneer Washi Tape.
What ‘old school’ product would you like to bring back?
Hmmm, this is a tough one, because when I first started, I mostly used patterned paper and created my own embellishments, so I didn’t use a lot of different product or tools. And starting so recently, I either find something I like and keep it or if it’s something that doesn’t work for me, I usually sell it in consignment and hope that someone else finds enjoyment in using it.
Please share a quirky fact about yourself.
This is probably one of my most well known quirky facts among family and friends: I don’t like any of my food to touch on my plate and I usually don’t like food items that have a lot of ingredients mixed in together (especially casseroles)!! And most of the time I have to eat all of one thing one my plate, before moving on to the next thing.
Wood Veneer Washi - how cool would that be? Love that idea!
I hope you enjoyed getting to know Ashley a little better. Thank you Ashley for sharing!
Thanks for stopping by!
