Tweed Ride Mini Album

Hey there guys, Katie here! Happy Tuesday! Today I wanted to share with you this mini album I made. My Family and I recently did a Tweed Bicycle Ride, which is where everyone dresses up in tweed and rides around. They're fun. ;)

I made this mini album to document it and some of my Love My Tapes worked perfectly with the "tweed theme".

Pre-Embellished Art Journal Pages

Hey guys, Katie here! Today I wanted to share with your how I used some fabric tape to "pre-embellish" some of my art journal pages.

Right now (almost) all of my crafting supplies are in storage, as I'm currently traveling and will be moving soon.  So last month, knowing that I was going to be away from all of my supplies this Summer, I made a small art journal kit to take with me in my travels.

It includes a couple of rolls of washi tape, some watercolors, and some markers. Not much. Which is why I went ahead and added a few extra embellishments into my journal.
I used the fabric tape to add strips of tape to my page, cut out shapes like hearts, etc. I do plan on further embellishing these pages while I'm traveling using my limited supplies.

I used the hot pink tape from the DayDream Fabric Tape Value Pack. I love this bright, bold tape and the fabric gives a nice texture to my journal.

Easy Birthday Cards

Hey everyone, Katie here! I recently got abunch of new tapes (You can buy Love my Tapes in our etsy shop!) and one of them was this "Happy Birthday" sentiment tape. It's perfect for birthday cards!

I made these 2, somewhat matching, birthday cards using it + a couple of other fun tapes.

I also made this birthday card. While it doesn't match the other 2, I needed a special birthday card (for someone who likes planes) and so I pulled out my tapes again.

For this one I just tore off 1 "Happy Birthday" sentiment and stuck it on. So easy!

This might be my favorite new tape, at least for making birthday cards!

Altered nautical picture frame

Hi LMT friends!  It's Jaclyn here today to share an altered picture frame with you.  

I've had a stack of pretty new nautical themed papers sitting on my workspace that I've been dying to dig into.  However, since I had plans to alter a picture frame, I knew I would want more than just paper in my crafty arsenal to work with.  Lucky for me, LMT has a bevy of patterned tapes to fit just about any color and theme.  This red and white striped washi and light blue star print fabric tape were just begging to be paired among my list of nautical supplies.

The red and white stripe tape made a great backdrop for my overall design.  I simply laid strips of it along the length and width of each edge of the picture frame.  It went on smoothly and easily and creates a fun and coordinated look.

I used the light blue fabric tape to paper piece the cute little stamped sailboat image.  I love the added pattern and texture it adds to the stamped image.  Again, it was another quick and simple way to add the tape into my design.

Here is a look at my new Washi Tape.  I love anything with numbers on it!  The thin black numbered washi tape will be perfect for a project I am doing for school, but it will also work in my journals.   Of course stars are great year round but I plan to use this for my 4th of July Rosette banner.  The gold is fabulous for anything and everything.  Hearts are for some Valentine cards and treat bags.  The banner's were too cute to pass up and the bunnies are on everything that I made this week!




I covered 2 paper mache eggs with fabric tape, and added a strip of it to my book page egg. The banners were topped off with some of the lace tape and bunny themed washi tape.

I covered these paper mache eggs with Love My Tapes bunny washi tape and fabric tapes. Some of the eggs are old text books with only one strip of washi tape and then I added a button.

                                                             
These paper mache eggs were so easy to decorate with tape.. you can either just peel and stick or you can add some glue over and under the tape.  I love quick DIY projects and the kids do to!  I also added a touch of the bunny washi tape to a banner and my Easter book. All of the tapes pictured are from Love My Tapes.

Love you a Latte

Hey everyone, Katie here! It's a little over 2 weeks until Valentines day, so not too early to start thinking about making cute red and pink projects! Today I wanted to share with you these little "love you a latte" coffee cups I made.

I got these small coffee cups in a Christmas craft kit but of course they can be used for anything! I wrapped them with pink and red fabric tapes to add a bit of color and then I added a piece of lace tape around each one as well.

I filled them with Hershey's kisses so now they're ready to give to friends!

Weaving with fabric tapes

Hello Love My Tapes fans! This is Maya and today I am going to share a layout I made to celebrate my first attempt at basket weaving.

I decided to use fabric tape to echo the basket and make a fun interlaced mat for my pictures.

I used lined and flower fabric tapes. First I placed the horizontal pieces and than I weaved the vertical pieces in between. The adhesive on the back of the tape is strong enough to hold everything in place but at the same time gentle enough to allow lifting of the tape and putting it back.

I added few chipboard letters from my stash and a journaling card from Project Life kit.

I love how the fabric tapes give a rustic look to my layout. It matches the theme perfectly.

Teacher Appreciation Card

Hello! Tessa Buys here. I had yet to use this darling ruler washi tape, and when I had reason to make a thank you card for my son's teacher, I knew I needed to put this fun tape to use!

I used my favorite formula of strips of washi tape, fabric tape and lace tape. I used SRM clear stickers to add my sentiment directly to the tape, then added a few enamel dots to finish it off.

I am really good about remembering to thank my kids' teachers during teacher appreciation week and the holidays, but I need to be better about expressing appreciation year round. Hopefully, this quick and easy card will inspire you to do the same. Thanks to Love My Tapes for a washi tape design that suits teachers perfectly!

Never Stop Exploring- Fabric Tape Cactus

Hey everyone, Katie here! Today I wanted to share a fun layout I made using our fabric tapes! I absolutely love the fabric tapes, they have such great texture, they're so soft!

I used them on this layout to not only border my photo but also to make a saguaro cactus! Yep, it's made from green fabric tape!

I started just by cutting 3 strips of different lengths for the body and arms of the cactus and them made them a little wider with scraps of the fabric tape. I rounded the top corners of the tape to give it a more cactus-y look and then added "thorns" with a black Sharpie!

The muslin tape I used might be one of my favorites (I've used so much, I'm almost out! Oh no!)! It's a great neutral color.

Fabric Tape Bound Mini Album

Hey everyone, Katie here! Today I wanted to take a break from all of the Christmas projects to share with you guys this mini album I created using some pictures from a camping trip.

I make a lot of mini albums so I know a few different techniques for binding them. I created this one by using fabric tape for the binding. Here's how:

1. Start by cutting out your pages and front/back covers  from patterned paper or cardstock.

2, Place your cover face down onto your workplace with your first page face up right next to it. Take a strip of fabric tape and place where to 2 papers meet. Press firmly.

3. Fold your first page over to the left and repeat step 2 with your next page, lining it up and adding a strip of tape.

4. Repeat until you have all of your pages and back cover. I also added a couple of fabric tape strips around the back edge to hide where the pages are on the back.

I used a couple of my favorite black and white washi tapes on the inside pages as well.

The Hunger Games Inspired Layout

Hey guys, Katie here today! For Halloween this year, I went as Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games. My costume was completely handmade, and I loved being Katniss!

Since my costume was so amazing, I needed a layout to document it, right?

 I included the mockingjay pin that was part of my costume onto my layout over a few strips of fabric and lace tapes, but I felt my layout still needed a little bit something.

So I grabbed Love My Tapes gold glitter paper (this stuff is fantastic!) and diecut my title out of it on my Silhouette Portrait. If you're curious, I used the blade at a 7 and it cut through my glitter paper perfectly!

Fabric Tape Feathers Packaging

Hello! Tessa Buys here with an easy way to dress up a simple gift box with trendy feathers. These feathers aren't from nature or a craft store, though. These are handmade with Love My Tapes' fabric tapes, wire and cardstock.

Choose your tapes, grab some spare cardstock, and find your floral wire (any wire will do, but green floral wire is what I had on hand).

1. Cut your wire as long as you'd like your feather to be. My feathers are about three inches long.

2. Cut pieces of fabric tape long enough to cover the wire. For smaller feathers, two pieces is plenty, but for larger feathers, you will want to use three or more pieces.

3. Lay the wire on a piece of cardstock and apply a piece of tape over the wire. If using just two pieces of tape, overlap slightly. If using three, center the wire under your first piece of tape. Apply the rest of your pieces of tape.

4. With sharp scissors, cut out the shape of the feather. Cut slits in the feather going from the top downward to the wire. The wire will stop your scissors from cutting too far.

I added some Love My Tapes lace tape to the top of my boxes, then wrapped the boxes in twine. I secured the twine with a button and hot glued my feathers to the back of the button.
