So Many Books, So Little Time layout

Hello Love My Tapes Fans!  I am back today to share a new layout.  I have had these patterned papers in my stash for a while now so I was pretty happy that I was able to grab some washi tape that looks great with the paper.

Here is a close up of the three rolls of tape that I used on this page.

The tapes I used are: Mint with Love Washi, Pink Waves Washi Tape,  Navy Blue Spray Painted Numbers.

I just wanted to take a second and thank this fabulous team and all of the fans for the fun time I have had as a part of this team.  I have decided to step down to focus on some other great and challenging things in my life.  It has been a great experience creating projects for this team.  I truly feel so lucky to have been a part of it.

Eat Cotton Candy With Friends

Hello Love My Tapes fans.  I am here today with a bright and colorful layout.  I know that I have used several of these patterns of tape lately.  I love how versatile these patterns and colors are for various projects.

When I first saw the mustache washi tape I knew it would be cute on this page, but it wouldn't stand out with all the other tape.  So I put the tape on a piece of patterned paper to create my own strip to accent my layout.

I wanted to add machine stitching on top of the tape and it worked beautifully.  I wasn't sure how the needle would do going through the tape, but there was no tearing of the tape.  It adds a subtle detail and some added texture on the layout.

Tapes I used: Lace Washi Tape, Plum Dots Washi Tape, Hot Pink Stripe Washi Tape, Skinny Black Chevron Washi Tape, Modern Art Washi Tape, Pink Dots Washi Tape, Black & White Geometric Washi Tape, Small Black Mustache Washi Tape.

Awesome Happy Seven

Good morning Love My Tapes Fans!  I can't believe that it is almost time for my daughter's birthday again.  Today I am sharing a layout from right after her last birthday.

I have been wanting to make a layout like this where I cut out various shapes and words and mix and match a bunch of different tapes.  I added some fun yellow doilies for some extra pops of color, but most of the color comes from the fun variety of washi tapes.

I added a strip of washi tape that I cut in half.  I did this because I didn't want the regular width.  This just adds a fun strip of color towards the top of the page.

I love how the tapes pop against the white background.

Capture Life

Hello Love My Tapes fans, I am here with a new layout today.  This was a really fun layout to make and I just love how the tapes pop against the white background.

I don't usually have many masculine scrapbook supplies so sometimes creating pages for my husband take a little extra thinking and planning.  I grabbed a couple of scrap pieces of patterned paper, washi tape and cardstock to create this layout.

I first used my Silhouette to draw the stars on the background.  I then modified it and only cut out the inside of select stars to open up the carstock to reveal the washi tape below.

I also put three strips of the brick washi tape under the bottom of my picture and have it peeking out of each side.  I love the little bit of extra detail that it add to my page.

Tapes I used: Red & White Washi Tape, Black Skinny Chevron Washi Tape, Red Skinny Minnie Zig Zag Chevron Washi Tape, Brick Washi Tape.

So Loved

Summer is just a few days away here and I am sure looking forward to some warm weather.  I am excited to share this layout with you today featuring some pretty floral washi tape.  I was so excited to get this roll of pink floral tape in my last order from the Love My Tapes store.  I couldn't wait to use it on my next layout.

I grabbed four rolls of washi tape, a piece of cardstock and a piece of background patterned paper.  The strips of washi tape make the perfect background for these pictures that feature my daughter last summer.

At first my die-cut title didn't stand out on my washi tape background, so after an extra layer of contrasting cardstock it now pops against the pretty washi tape.

Tapes I used: Taupe Dots Washi Tape, Pink Waves Washi Tape, Pink Floral Washi Tape, Copper Candy Stripes Washi Tape.

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

I love how this page started out with black, white and grey/silver.  All the color in this page comes from the embellishments and pictures.  I can always manage to find the perfect compliment to my project with the wide variety of washi tape patterns and colors available.

I wanted to create my own background with the washi tape, so I took three strips of washi tape from each corner and had them meet up on the page.  I didn't want it to form a perfect "X" so I just had them intersect in different spots.  I love that all the strips lead to the pictures.

I love how washi tape looks on a white background.  It really makes the patterns pop.

Tapes I used: Modern Art Washi Tape, Silver with White Star Washi Tape, Hot Pink Stripes Washi Tape, Black Roses Washi Tape.

I Will Always Love My Girl

 Hello Love My Tapes fans!  Today I am here with a layout that combines two of my favorite things...washi tape and digital cut files. I made my own background and then used some washi tape to create patterned paper.

Here are a few close-up pictures of the various washi tape patterns on my layout.

I really love the look of the ripped tape and having the different pieces so they don't line up on the sides.  The whimsy feel to it is perfect for this layout featuring my daughter and me.

Did you notice that the silver tape is not transparent?  I love the solid feel of this tape and the fact that it is covered in glitter just makes it over-the-top perfect.  I love the little bling it adds to my page.

Hello Summer layout

Hello Love My Tapes fans!  I find it hard to believe that summer is fast approaching, especially since I am still scrapping about last summer!  That is okay, with me though, because I love using the bright fun colors that always seem to go with my summertime pictures.  For this layout I combined some patterned paper (the strips) and lots of washi.  I cut a bunch of circles using my silhouette and thin white cardstock.  I then covered the cardstock with strips of washi tape before trimming the excess off.  I love adding extra patterns to my layouts with the use of washi tape, plus the rolls seem to last forever!!

Below are some close-up images, along with the washi tapes that I used.

 Behind the title is the Hot Pink Stripe Washi.  I matched up the strips of washi tape so that it would create a striped pattern on my circle.

 Here you can see the Black Grid Washi tape and the Hot Pink Stripe Washi.

The top circle is Pink Bubbles Washi, the little circle is Silver with White Star Washi and the bottom circle is Turquoise Chevron Washi.

My Sweet Sleepy Girl

Hello everyone!  Today I am here with a super quick washi tape layout.  When I look at all my washi tape I notice that have a ton in certain colors.  One area that I see to always have a bunch of is black & white washi, so to create this layout I grabbed a bunch of rolls and just layered them on a piece of cardstock to create a fun background.  I then added my photo, a title, some journaling and a few embellishments to finish up this project.

This is the first (I think) layout I have created that has been fully black & white.  I have to say, that I love how this turned out with my black & white photo.

Stunning & Gorgeous

Hello again LMT followers.  I am here to share another layout today.  This time I am mixing lots of different pieces of patterned paper with washi tape.

The purple at the top and the bottom of the page is three strips of Purple Floral washi tape.  I then added a row of the Turquoise Chevron washi.  The colors looked amazing with my photographs and matched some patterned paper I had laying around.

Since I love adding thinner washi to my layouts, I just had to add a couple of strips of this fun Movie Film Washi.

I created my title using my Silhouette Cameo and some cardstock that helps it stand out against the purple floral washi tape.

Always Laugh Together

Hello fans of Love My Tapes!  I am here today to share a new layout I created.  This time I wanted to use washi as an accent instead of the majority of the patterns on my page.  Washi tape is perfect to just add little pops of extra color to any project.  

I loved this red paper with the little white dots and wanted to add some extra red accents, so I just grabbed this roll of Red Triange Washi tape.  

 Since these goofy pictures remind me of a photo booth, I just had to add a couple of strips of this fun Movie Film Washi.

I also can not get enough gold lately, so I added a strip of the Metallic Gold Triangle Washi.

Puppy Love layout

Hello everyone!  Today I am here to share this fun layout I made featuring my daughter and my mom's two new puppies.  I was crazy enough to puppy sit for a few days, but luckily I got some cute pictures out of it.

I wanted to have lots of paw prints on my layouts, because with four dogs (I have two dogs too) there were paw prints everywhere!!  I grabbed a piece of cardstock and cut it out on my Silhouette.  I then traced the inside of each paw print because I wanted to line the paper behind the prints and I also wanted to create a pattern, so I needed to know exactly where to put the tape.

I then grabbed two more tapes and created a pattened background in the center of the page.  Then I just added my photos and some embellishments and I was done!

 Below you can see a close up of the paw prints.  I love the extra dimension of the tape being behind the main piece of cardstock.  I used the Red Heart Washi and the Metallic Gold Chevron Washi.

 For the background I then added the Gold Metallic Triangle Washi and the Love Washi Tape.

Splash layout from Cassie

I am here today to show you a new layout I created with several rolls of new tape from the store.  I love the variety of tapes available right now.  I grabbed five different rolls and started creating this "X" pattern on a piece of cardstock.

For my title I used this acrylic word that I have had laying around here for about 3+ years.  I just went around the edge with a black marker to define the word some more before attaching it using snaps.  I really wanted the focus to be on all of the fun colors and patterns in the tape.

After adding some journaling and a few embellishments, my layout is complete.  Creating all of the strips with patterned paper instead of tape, would have taken a lot more time.  With the variety of colors and patterns available it is usually easy to find the perfect tape for your next project!

Home Improvement layout using Love My Tapes

As you will see, I mainly create layouts and I love adding washi tape to them.  So many times I just love the patterns on the washi tape so much that I will use them as I would patterned paper.

The red tape with white hearts is a favorite of mine!  So I grabbed a clear transparency and covered it in tape before cutting the wave at the bottom.  I then added this blue geometric floral tape under it.  I then finished it off with some stitching!  The only patterned paper on this page is that striped strip right below the photos!  See below for a few more close-ups of my layout.

Welcome Home layout with Love My Tapes

I am so excited to share my first layout as part of the Love My Tapes team!  I was so excited to find this fun film washi tape in my package.  I love that it is a thinner tape, so it works perfect on this layout and I am sure many more to come!

I used a piece of white cardstock as my base.  I then used a roll of washi tape to create a pattern on my cardstock.  Next I watered down some craft paint and lightly brushed on the paint to cover the whole page.  Then I pulled up all the washi tape and I was left with this really cool background.

 You can still see the brush strokes in some of the shapes and this is what I was going for.  I wanted it to have a little distress look to it.  All of the lines also remind me of caution tape, which with moving into a new house and working on projects it really seems to sum up this page.

 I hope that I have given you some inspiration and a new idea on how to use some washi tape!  See you next week!
