Washi tape in the spot light - scrapbook page with JJ Sobey

Hi Love My Tapes fans! JJ here again, this time with a layout, highlighting some of our new washi tapes.

They are perfect for layering, as they are slightly transparent, and don't add a lot of bulk.

It doesn't take a lot of patterned paper to make a fun scrapbook page when you've got great tapes to play with. (Super easy to stitch through it, as well!)

Thanks for visiting,
JJ

Hi all! I want to start by introducing myself! My name is Devon and I am the new marketing director for Love My Tapes! I am going to be working on a lot of projects for Love My Tapes. A little about me: I live in downtown Chicago with 2 babies under 2 years old!! That pretty much sums up my life!! I am a long time scrapbooker as well. I love Love My Tapes products and am going to be working on spreading the word about LMT. Feel free to email me at devon@lovemytapes.com if you ever need anything.

My first order of business is to add to our awesome design team. We are going to be adding 1-2 new members. The term will go until the end of the year, at which point, we will do a new design team search. Here is the info you need:

To submit your application for the LMT design team, you need to

1. Submit 3 projects using tapes (washi, fabric, or lace). Projects can be cards, but you must submit at least 1 layout.

2. Tell me a little about yourself. Why do you want to be on LMT design team? What can you add to our team? That sort of thing!

3. A link to your online gallery (if you have one).

4. A link to your blog. You must have a blog to be on the design team.

5. A list of your other DT commitments.

If you are selected, you will need to

1. Create one project per week and post it on the LMT blog, as well as your pesonal blog.

2. Promote LMT on your blog, social media, etc.

3. Comment on blog posts, etc. Basically be active on the LMT blog.

You will receive LMT products to create with!!

Vintage Lace Tape Card

Hi friends! It's Ashley here to share a card with you today. I love using lace tape for vintage cards! It's so easy to use, you can put it on card even after you glue the layers down because it's tape and doesn't need to be tucked under like ribbon. I used a cream lace tape and dark pink lace tape for this card. I used some Cosmo Cricket papers and tag on this card.

Washi Canvas

Hello everyone, today I have a fun little mixed media canvas to share with you!

The first thing I did was cover the entire canvas (5x5) with Wood Grain Washi tape.  Once I had all the Washi tape on the canvas I added a coating of Ranger's Matte Multi Medium to seal it.  I did a little stamping around the edges for some extra texture.

With the background of my canvas ready I rummaged around my table (which is a total mess...LOL) for scraps.  I found this piece of cardboard which I had cut a heart out of for another project and decided it was perfect.  Inside the heart I added more Wahsi tape, and some of Ranger's Crackle Accents.

I added a layer of paper and Newsprint Fabric Sheet behind the cardboard heart, then a few more strips of Washi tape, a saying and called it done!

This was a fun little project to make, and I got to use up a few scraps while I was at it!

I hope this has given you a new idea how to use up all that beautiful Washi Tape!

Save those scraps!!!

Hey bloggers, Rita Barakat here!
I have always wanted to try making one of these little framed charms
and as I was doing it something seemed to be missing!
When I added that little piece of lace ribbon(tape) from
Love My Tapes
it was the perfect touch!
Literally the piece is one inch wide! SO all I have to say girls is save those scraps!
You never know when it might come in handy!

Fabric Tape Die Cut and Negative

Hi friends! It's Ashley here to share a couple cards with you today. I used a fun technique that I hope you'll enjoy. What I did was lay down some layers of fabric tape onto some card stock in a rectangle, then I ran it through a die cute machine to cut out the butterfly.

This first card features the butterfly I cut out. I made it using (from left to right) Ava, Lily, Madison, Emily, and Brooke fabric tapes. Then I used the 17 mm Beige Lace Tape on the card.
For this card, I used the negative of my die cut. I figured that I shouldn't waste it.
Have a great day friends!

These neutral pattern washi tapes are perfect for boy pages (although, girls might want them too!).

Here they are layered with some patterned paper - they are slightly translucent, so you can still see the patterns underneath as well.

For you my friend

Hello my friends! Giovana here with a card I made using some of the new Fabric Tapes from the Value Pack! All the background on my card was created with these pretty fabric tapes "Floral" and "Afresh", you can even use the same design to create a whole background piece , I think I would do that next time :)
For the butterflies I used a piece of Pink/White Polka Dot Fabric Tape Sheet. I adhered the fabric tape onto a piece of thin cardstock and then die-cut all the butterflies. I distressed all the butterflies edges with Tea Dye Distress Ink.

Cool Washi Layout

Last week a package full of the new Washi tapes arrived on my door step!!  I think there's nothing better than happy scrappy mail, don't you?!

Of course I had to dive right in and have a little Washi fun creating this layout.

I used the different Washi tapes to add some pops of color to my layout, keeping most of the other elements neutral to match the sepia photo of my son Zach.

These tapes are so easy to use, just pull, tear & stick!  I hope this layout gives you a little inspiration to try them out!
