Fabric Tape Frame Card

Hi friends! It's Ashley here to share a card with you today. I know it might be a little early to start thinking about Mother's Day but it's always nice to have cards done in advance to have in your stash or give to your loved ones.

I used our Lemon Bar Check Fabric Tape to create a frame for this flower. The stamps are from Unity Stamp Co and the paper is Pink Paislee Vintage Vogue.
Have a great day, friends!

Bird House + Inspiration Challenge Winner

Hello my friends! Giovana here. For today I have an altered project to show you. I had a lot of fun creating this project. It is super easy and the results are super cute!!
I bought a simple. not painted bird house. I painted it with White Acrylic Paint, I added 3 coats. After that I sponged it with Vintage Photo and Tea Dye Distress Inks. Now the fun part is, you will need Beige Lace Tape, cut several pieces according to the length of the roof, mine were about 4". Sponge every single bottom piece. Starting by the bottom part of the roof start positioning the lace strips. until you cover both sides, then add some to the front side.
The image is from Gina K. Designs, I think it works perfect with this project.

Hope you like it!!

Now, the winner of our Inspiration Challenge is: Claude

Keeping the love alive!

Since we're still in February the 'month of love' I have another Valentine's project to show you today.

I had some fun creating a mixed media canvas, using paints, sprays, ink and of course some of my Love My Tapes products!

Each heart was created either using one of the Fabric Sheets or by covering paper with some Lace Tapes.

The Fabric Sheets & Lace Tapes really added some great texture to the canvas!  I hope this will inspire you to think of ways that you can use your Love My Tapes projects off the page!

Valentine Cutie

Hi Love My Tapes fans - JJ here again with another layout.

I combined strips of fabric and lace tapes with a little bit of scrap paper for a quick photo 'mat', then added some stitching for texture.

I used fabric sheets for some of the larger circular elements in the background as well as on the chipboard for embellishments.  The fabrics are easy to layer with the tapes - lots of texture without a lot of bulk.

Thanks for visiting!
JJ

My Funny Valentine

Tomorrow is Valentine's day, do you have any special plans with a loved one?

To help get you in the loving mood I have a fun little Valentine's decoration I made.  I used the traditional pink for this project, but decided to add a little fun & whimsy with the Cow Print Fabric Sheet on the mannequin.

The inside of the arch is covered using the Hot Pink Suede Fabric Sheet, and the chipboard butterflies are covered with the Light Pink Snake Skin Fabric Sheet.  I love the different textures all these fabric sheets add to a project.  I also added a little strip of White Lace Tape to the bottom of the project.

I hope you enjoyed my project today, and maybe you feel inspired to go create something fun & romantic yourself!

So In Love Card

Hi friends! It's Ashley here to share a card with you. I know that we are all gearing up for Valentine's Day so I thought I'd share a Valentine's Day card. This card could also be used as an anniversary card or just an everyday card to tell your special someone that you love them.

For my card, I used the Red Stripe Fabric Tape and the Light Pink Lace Tape. All the paper elements are from the Echo Park Be Mine collection kit. I also punched an edge with a border punch and added some gems onto my butterfly sticker.

Have a great day, friends!

Valentine ideas.

Hi Everyone - JJ here again. This time I wanted to share a couple of Valentine card ideas with you.

For this card, I combined a couple of different lace tapes with a fabric tape and coordinating fabric sheet.  The fabric sheet was adhered to chipboard and die cut in a heart shape.

I love that you can shape this lace around a curve without fighting with adhesive.  Self-stick lace makes it so easy.

For this card, I wanted a more masculine look.  The faux suede fabric sheet was perfect for this.

I die cut more of the fabric sheets for this card - so easy to create your embellishment for a card - you know it will stay put when you mail it!

Thanks for visiting,
JJ

Inspiration Challenge

Hello my friends! Giovana here. It's time for another fun challenge here at Love My Tapes Blog, this time is an Photo Inspiration Challenge. You can get inspired by the roses, the colors, the textures, etc. We can't wait to see your take in this challenge.

Here is the Inspiration Picture:

and here is my take. I used the colors and flowers as my inspiration. I got this LOVE frame at my local scrapbook store. I covered it with Pink/White Polka Dot Fabric Sheet, then I ink all edges. I added some Pink Lace Ribbon around the heart and a couple of white crocheted flowers.
This is a picture of my husband and I after our wedding in Peru :)

TIP: Sometimes it's really hard to cover the little borders, so what I did is I cut strips of fabric sheet, about 1/4" and then carefully put it around the edges. If you click on the pictures, you can see it.

Hope you like it.

Now, it's your turn to play along with us. Add your link on the comment section.

PRIZE: Assorted Love My Tapes Products!!
Challenge ENDS: February 23rd. The winner will be announced on Friday Feb. 24th.

ETA: Mr. Linky has been added, so please link your creations here. Thanks so much!!

Happy Birthday!

                                                                Isn't that sweet?
Hey bloggers! Rita Barakat here!
Today I am actually at CHA (I scheduled this post ahead of time)!
On this card I layered the yellow gingham and pink polka
Love My Tapes (ribbon) to make one large strip.
I used adhesive backed fabric from
Love My Tapes for the cupcake liner as well.

Here's another quick and easy idea for decorations!
Got tags?
As you can see I cut the green polka Love My Tapes (ribbon)
in a wavy line and used it to frame the pattern paper!
You could use this as a banner and
make small ones and put them on cupcakes!
