Off To School ~Using Washi Tape on Your Layout

Hello Love My Tapes fans!  Lynn here today sharing my first post as a LMT designer!

I love using washi tape on my layouts.  There are so many different things you can do.  From creating your own background, to embellishments, to tearing it up to add some texture!

Here is what I created for you today:

First off I used the Rainbow Faded Stripes washi tape to create the border on each side of my layout..  Then I added some strips of  paper that I had in my stash and inked along the edges.  You can see in the photo below how I've tucked torn pieces of washi tape between the patterned papers.

I added some machine stitching directly on the washi tape for a fun effect.

I used Turquoise, Birds & Floral washi tape to create part of my title.  I simply adhered strips to a white piece of cardstock, then cut out the word "school" by hand.  Then I matted my word to another piece of white cardstock, cut it out, and traced around the letters.  I also used the School Lined washi tape to mat my photo!

An easy and fun way to use your tapes!

Here is a list of the items I used from Love My Tapes.

Fabric Tape Coaster

Hey everyone, Katie here! Today I wanted to share with you guys this coaster I made. What does a quilted coaster have to do with tape? Well, It's simple really, I used Love My Tapes fabric tapes to create the fabric!

I cut a piece of muslin (canvas-like fabric) to the size I wanted and just stuck strips of fabric tape down on top of it. Since it is September, I decided to go with red and yellow and a back-to-school theme. This would make the perfect teacher gift, wouldn't it?

Thanks for stopping by! What are some of your favorite ways to use fabric tape?

Back to School

Hello Love My Tapes fans! It's Kathy Martin here with a project share for you.

Have your kids gone back to school yet? My son Christopher, who just started middle school, is now going year-round and his track started July 9.

With the buses rumbling down our street once again, I'm reminded of how much Christopher loves them and how I've been wanting to do a page about his school bus chart.

He's kept this chart for a few years that lists bus types and numbers.

The larger photo is the bus that picked him for kindergarten many moons ago and the second picture is him boarding the bus a couple weeks ago for middle school. My how time flies!

Thanks for stopping by today!
