A Sketch Challenge Card

Hi friends! It's Ashley here to share a creation with you today. I want to share with you my take on our current challenge here at the Love My Tapes Blog. For my card, I used the sketch as is but turned the label into a rectangle. I used the 13mm white lace tape on top of the Lemon Bar fabric tape. Super simple but lovely at the same time. This is a sketch that I will use over and over again. The sprinkling of the embellishments makes this so cute.

Boys....

Who says you can't use pink for boys?  I know it's not typical but sometimes you just have to break out of the box and use pink or flowers or bling, those typical girly products on you boy layouts!!

On this page I used some of the pink polka dot Fabric Sheet but I paired this with more boyish elements such as the gears.  Before I cut the gears I covered some chipboard with the white Newsprint Fabric Sheet, then I colored them blue & green with distress stains.

I really like pink & green together so I added a strip of the Jane Fabric Tape to the top & bottom of the layout.  I also used it to cover the hear in the title on my page.

Love My Tapes Sketch Challenge #1

Hello my friends!! Giovana here. Are you ready for our first challenge of the year?? I hope you are. We are so excited to present to you challenges here and I hope you can play along with us. We are starting the new year with a fun challenge, this time is a Sketch! I drew it and JJ translated it into a real one :)

Here is the sketch:

and here is my card. I flipped the sketch so my label sentiment could have a better fit.
I used White and Light Pink Lace Tape Ribbon. I overlapped the ribbons. I adhered a piece of Pink/White Polka Dot Fabric Sheet onto a piece a cardstock. Then I stamped  the hearts direct on the fabric sheet, after that I cut them out and ink all edges. I adhered them to my panel with Medium pop dots, I added some Star Dust Stickles to give it a little bit of glitter.

Now, it's your turn to play the challenge. Create a project using the sketch and add your project to the comment section so we can check it out!!!

Well here's a challenge for you - how about starting the new year

by making someone a new years card?

One of things I love about "Love My Tapes"

is that I dont have to hassle with adhesive!

 Not to mention that there are so many different fabrics to choose from!

I cut those tabs  and flags out of  Polka Dots -Jane. Easy!

"Thank You" card - JJ Sobey

Hi Everyone! JJ here again. Since many of us have thank you notes to send after Christmas, I thought I would show a quick thank you card.


Just a few stripes of fabric tape, and a little embellishment and sentiment, and you're ready to write your note.

Snow Angel

The countdown to Christmas has began...only 6 more days!  Normally we have a very white Christmas here, but this year there's not much snow around, lots has melted with the higher than normal temps.  I do hope we get a little sprinkle on Christmas Eve, just won't seem the same without it.

Today I have a layout to share with you, this is a picture I took of my daughter last winter.

I know that pink is not usually used for winter pages, but I thought it offset the blue in her coat nicely.

The hot pink Fabric Sheet has the texture of suede, I love fell of this stuff!  I also used a little light pink Lace Tape and Taffy Fabric Tape for a bit more color on this basically neutral layout.

Joy to the World

Hi friends! It's Ashley here to share a Christmas card with you. Can you believe how close it is to Christmas? I can't believe how fast this snuck up on me! There's still time to make a few cards though!

Here's my card. I used some thin white Lace Tape and some Red Stripe Fabric Tape as well. These tapes add a fabulous texture and dimension to your project without adding a lot of bulk. These are great embellishments for mailing, they are very light weight. The papers are from Authentique and the little bling is from Recollections.
