Grid Style Layout- Chimp Haven

Hey guys, Katie here! Today I wanted to share this layout I created using photos from a recent trip to Chimp Haven. I used some of my favorite tapes with some project life cards to create this grid style layout.

To get the grid look, I actually used a couple of strips of washi tape to make sure my cards and photos were straight. I forgot to take a photo of it though. ;)

I used the LMT adhesive to secure all of my photos and cards.

Today I also wanted to share with you guys these 2 easy cards I created using Love My Tapes. They're really simple, but cute. I just layered the tape in strips of cover a section of the card and added lace tape for further embellishment!

Wedding Birdseed Bags with Washi

Hello Love My Tapes friends, Marcia here today. My daughter got married last weekend and I just had to share these cute little bags for keeping birdseed in. It's a tradition to throw rice at weddings as the couple departs the church, as rice is a symbol of fertility. Well somewhere along the line, we discovered that birds that eat the rice, die! So it's much more common now to throw birdseed. My sister-in-law made the cutest little bags. I tried to save one, but my hubby (thinking he was being a big help) threw it out! I had to recreate a few to show you ...

I searched through my stamps for anything wedding related and came up with this heart and bridal couple. Just stamp your image on the glassine bag, fill with some birdseed and seal shut with washi tape. This washi tape was the perfect choice :)

Fabric Tape Snap Clips

Hello! Tessa Buys here. At the risk of making mothers of bald babies everywhere a wee bit jealous, I have a problem with my 9 month old daughter's out of control curls. My favorite tool to keep the curls at bay right now is the snap clip. I can grab just enough hair to pull away from her eyes, they are secure while she plays, and they are cheap. However, they can be boring. My easy and fast solution? Love My Tapes' fabric tapes!

Ready to make your own? You'll need fabric tape, scissors, and snap clips. For this tutorial, I have used a standard size snap clip, but you can also use mini snap clips (like the one in Adlyn's hair).

Start by cutting a piece of fabric tape that is double the length of your clip, plus a half inch or so.

Remove the backing and open your clip. Start applying the tape to the inside of your clip, keeping the clip centered on the tape.

Flip the clip over and continue adhering the tape to the clip. Make sure that your edges match and that you are firmly pressing the tape to the clip.

Flip over the clip and estimate how much more tape you need to cover the tip of the clip. Trim the excess tape and then fold the end over.

These would make great baby shower gifts or stocking stuffers. Grab all your fabric tapes, a package of snap clips, and have fun!

Glitter and Lace Autumn Cards

Hey everyone, Katie here! Today I'm sharing these 2 cards I created using some lace tape and the new adhesive backed glitter paper that Love my Tapes offers!

The new glitter paper comes in more than 30 colors, but I went for gold for a stunning look on these Autumn cards.

I cut the leafs out on my Brother Scan N Cut, and in case you're wondering- the glitter paper worked just fine and dandy in my diecut machine! :)

To make the bow, I used some thin lace tape and just made it like you would a paper bow. I love the soft touch and extra texture it adds. Lots of texture here between the lace and the glitter- perfect for Autumn!

Fabric Tape Witch Hat

Mummy Halloween Card with Lace Tapes

Hello Love My Tapes friends, Marcia here today. Can you believe that Halloween is Friday already? Where did October go? I just had to make one of these Halloween mummy cards that I've seen all over Pinterest before it was too late. I thought the Love My Tapes lace tape would be perfect for making my mummy.

Here is how you can make one too...

Cut a piece of cream colored cardstock slightly smaller than the width of your card then tear it into strips. Adhere the lace tape on top of the strips.

Use a scissors to cut the lace tape edges to distress.

Dab some ink on yout craft mat and using an H2O pen, pick up the ink and paint the torn edges of cardstock and lace.

Then assemble the pieces onto your card base and add the googly eyes.

Glittery stars and washi tape

Hello LMT fans, it's Jaclyn here today.  Are you caught up in your scrapbooks?  I most certainly am not!  I just got around to scrapping my youngest son's preschool graduation pictures from back in May.  I'm glad I waited though, because LMT's new 12x12 adhesive backed glitter sheets, proved to be the perfect compliment to these pages!

 

 

I used a thin metal star die to cut a variety of stars from the black glitter paper.  They die cut through the paper so very easily.  I've mentioned this on the blog before but it's worth repeating - the glitter sheets do not 'shed'!  Oftentimes I avoid working with glitter because I hate the mess, but the LMT glitter sheets solve that issue!

 

 

As a bonus, I simply peeled off the release paper, to reveal an even sticky layer of adhesive that attached so nicely to my page.  Even adhering seamlessly to my textured cardstock background!

 

 



Lots of pictures on a page, sometimes means that I don't have a whole lot of space left for embellishment.  But washi tape can be squeezed in and layered just about anywhere.

Here I've used the black and white polka dot tape to look like several of the polaroids are 'taped' to the background.
