I live in Michigan in a small lake cottage my husband and I pretend is a farm. We have five chickens (with six more coming in a few weeks), two bunnies we hope to breed, and two cats. During the summer, we raise meat chickens and turkeys, as well. We have a large garden and enjoy learning to preserve our produce. It may be silly, but we love when we can cook a meal where we grew, raised or hunted everything except the butter and spices. Our children are grown -- one is in the U.S. Navy in Hawaii and the other is in college, so it is just us and the animals.
I have been paper crafting for about 20 years and I do it all -- mixed media, home decor, cardmaking, scrapbooking, and more. I teach, serve on several design teams, and write for Michigan Scrapbooker Magazine. I also operate a traveling store where I take supplies to local crops.
I love washi tape, but I do not use it enough. By being part of this design team, I hope to learn to incorporate it more.
On this card I used washi tape to make a background.
On this one I used it to create birthday candles.
And on this page, I used it both as a decorative element and cut the letters for the title out of it.
I hope you will join me on this journey with tape!
