Design Team Changes!

Hello and Happy Tuesday!

Tina here today with some exciting news!

We would like to welcome Annette Allen to the Love My Tapes family!  Annette joined us as a Guest Designer back in October, and we fell in love with her projects, so we decided to ask her to join our Design Team permanently.  :)

If you missed her introduction in October, here is a little about Annette.

Hi my name is Annette Allen and I am a stay at home wife. My passion is crafting, but some would say it is my addiction. I live for the Lord and enjoy each day. I am blessed in every way. I have one dog who is 15 years old and we love dearly. I started making cards back in 1997.  I dabble a little in sewing, scrapbooking and mixed media. I enjoy anything crafty, just ask my husband.  I have made many friends since I started blogging and feel so blessing. I am so happy to be a part of this design team and look forward to new friendships. Now let's craft.
You can check out her creations here, on her blog, My Clever Creations.
In other Design Team news, Rita Barakat, a long time Design Team Member has decided to step down from her DT position here at Love My Tapes.  We have enjoyed our time with Rita and love her artistic and creative projects.  We wish Rita well and we hope to see her aroung Blog Land.  :)
We hope you are having a terrific day.  Be sure and stop by tomorrow to check out what DTM Kathy has to share!

Got Scraps?

Hey bloggers Rita Barakat here!
I'm back with a few more ideas to get cracking on those
Christmas cards if you haven't started already!
If you save your scraps like me all you need is a small
strip to make a quick and easy card!
Add some lace tape and other embellishments and you are good to go!

Scrapbook paper makes for quick & easy cards as well!
Although I did stamp and color the snowman the back ground is scraps
from another project! Cut and layer over any flaws add some lace tape to pretty it up
and there you go! Another quick and easy idea for holiday greetings!
Happy Crafting!

Christmas Cards with Rita

Hey blogger Rita Barakat here! Can you believe it Dec 1st already?
Time to start those Christmas cards if you haven't already!
An idea to make it easier for yourself is to
make a simple template and repeat as I have done here.
A perfect addition and time saver of course is Washi tape across the bottom!

Quick & simple!
Have you started on your Christmas cards yet?

Flags and banners!

 Hey bloggers! Rita Barakat here!
How easy is to bring a little color and fun into your projects?
I made this really cute baner but it still needed a little something!

So I added these cute little flags using Love My Tapes!
Simply take a little strip of tape fold it in half (over the jute on the top)
and cut out the triangle, So easy AND cute!

I used fabric tapes and washi tapes!

I hope you try this!

Love My Tapes + Authentique Paper = AMAZING!

LOVE MY TAPES & AUTHENTIQUE PROJECT INSPIRATION
FALL BLOG HOP
Love My Tapes and Authentique Paper are getting crafty over the next couple of days to bring you tons of inspiration using Love My Tapes and Authentique Paper!

To get you into the holiday spirit, we will be sharing projects from the LMT DT on the Love My Tapes blog, and the Love My Tapes Design Team will be sharing additional projects with you on their blogs with a Fall Blog Hop.
Be sure and stop back every day this week for more Love My Tapes/Authentique inspiration!
Today, we will be sharing a couple of layouts by the LMT DT.
First up is Rita.  She combined several of our favorite collections – 'Genuine' by Authentique and the ‘With Love’ Washi Tape by Love My Tapes.  Don’t these look fabulous together?

Next up is Mary Ann.

She is getting us ready for Halloween tomorrow with a fantastic layout, featuring herself.  :)  Isn't she sweet?  She combined the wonderful Halloween collection, 'Enchanted',  and the 'Black Lace' washi tape by Love My Tapes.

Here's what Mary Ann had to say about her layout...
I just love the Enchanted collection from Authentique, and especially love how well it worked with these "vintage" photos from 1970, and the vintage looking washi tape! I did some layering with the cute stickers, and added in a strip of washi behind my photos. Truth be told, I was too afraid that year to go trick-or-treating, so the night before Halloween I had some of the neighborhood kids over to carve pumpkins. It's definitely a Halloween I want to remember, so I added a little pocket to the back of the layout and included the story about Halloween the year I was 6 years old. Oh the memories

That is just a warm up.  Hopefully you are ready for some more Love My Tape and Authentique ispiration.  Let’s start the HOP.  Shall we?
Be sure to stop by all blogs for a chance to win some Love My Tape goodies.
After you have checked out the projects on the DT blogs, be sure to head on stop back here on the Love My Tapes blog and leave a comment for a chance to win some fabulous Love My Tape product!
Still need more inspiration?  Stop by the AuthentiquePaper blog to find out what the talented members of their Design Team have in store for you today!
The Love My Tapes Fall Blog Hop will continue until Thursday night (11/1) at midnight.  Be sure to stop by the LMT blog every day for more projects and inspiration from the DT.

Designer Spotlight - Rita Barakat

Hello Love My Tapes friends!

Today, we would like to feature Rita Barakat, a long time Design Team member.  We thought it would be fun for you to get to know Rita a little better, so we asked her several questions.

How long have you been crafty? What got you started in creating ART?
I have been crafty all my life - when we were little my mom always kept my brothers and I fully stocked with art supplies!
Maybe that's why I still collect (OK hoard) all types of art media today!

What is a craft tool you can’t live without?
What? I have to choose? Probably a scissors.

What is your favorite Love My Tapes product?
The lace tapes are my favorites - they go with just about everything!

If you could create your own LMT product, what would it be?
I would create some fabric tapes with white on white.
Like polka dots or some type of pattern that you could mist or color and the pattern shows up!
A resist ribbon? That would be cool!

What ‘old school’ product would you like to bring back?
Hmm, I dont know- if it's something I love I probably still use it!

Please share a quirky fact about yourself.
When I scrap I have to have some TV show on - reruns, not new and not movies (usually Smallville),
I can't concentrate with music or silence!

I don't know about you, but a resist washi tape?  How cool would that be?

Thank you Rita for sharing a little about yourself!
Thank y'all for stopping by!  Have a great Thursday!
