Silly Monkey Layout

Hello Washi Tape Fans!
Susie here today sharing a layout with some favorite pics of son #2!

The Turquoise Chevron washi tape I used on the project may be found in the Love My Tapes Etsy store:

One of my favorite uses of washi tape is to highlight a color on a layout.  On the left side of my page there is a paper covered with arrows of many colors.  I really wanted to emphasize the turquoise  color so I added a strip of the washi tape and a couple pieces of rhinestone bling from Want2Scrap.
I added another strip along the right side, just peeking out from under the edge of the picture.
I always keep my "visual triangle" in mind to help me balance my designs.  I added a third piece of the Turquoise Chevron Washi tape and coordinating alpha stickers to the bottom left.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you find some time to play today!

From blah to wow with fabric tapes

Hello, Love My Tapes fans! This is Maya and today I am going to show you how I took a simple cardboard box from blah to wow using a set of beautiful fabric tapes.

I used a 5x7 cardboard box that comes with my monthly cosmetic samples subscription. I love this size and use the empty boxes to store all kind of things.

I used the fabric tape value pack - it comes with three tapes in coordinating colors. I covered the box top with rows of tape and run another row along the edge to cover the edges of the tape.

Now my box is not only practical but also cute.
Check a great selection of fabric tape value packs in the store. You will want to get one of each!

Remodel a Birdhouse Using Washi Tape!

Hi everyone!

Lynn here today sharing a little craft that I did using tapes from the Love My Tapes Etsy Store.

I found a wood birdhouse that I purchased a few years ago and decided it was time to make it pretty!

This was a really easy project.  The hardest part was deciding what tape to use ;)
I covered the entire birdhouse with mod podge and let try over night.  The next day, I added some fiber and embellishment.

This birdhouse never looked so good!!

Summer w/ Ange Weisbeck

Hey! Ange here today with a fun layout using lots of tape!

I had so much fun creating this layout and substituting tapes where ever I could.

My favorite way to use Chevron tapes! I used the Lime chevrons here, the color works perfectly with my papers.

For my bold colors I layered the Red, Yellow, Green tape with every other layered going the opposite direction and then just lined them up to make a wave look. I also layered a couple rows of Skull tape to put part of my title on.

To help my title really pop I used this fun bold orange cube tape and then made pleats with it. You just fold it back on itself and you go across the page.

You can see all of these tapes and so many more wonderful tapes in the store.
Thanks for stopping by!

Birthday Tags

Charity here from Scrappin' Chaos to let you in on a little secret...
Today is my BIRTHDAY!!!!
I am 41 years young and as full of crafting ideas as the day I first set scissors to paper.
To celebrate I made a pair of tags.
~ Sugar and Spice ...
Everything  Nice ~
Sometimes I'm classy and perfect with everything about me just so.
No loose ends, no mistakes.
Sometimes I'm wild and free, anything goes,
and I attack life with exuberance and enthusiasm.
And some days, I look around me at the mess life is
and I choose to make something beautiful out of it.
But in everything I do I seek to be genuine.
I hope you can enjoy this day as much as I plan too!

Capture Life

Hello Love My Tapes fans, I am here with a new layout today.  This was a really fun layout to make and I just love how the tapes pop against the white background.

I don't usually have many masculine scrapbook supplies so sometimes creating pages for my husband take a little extra thinking and planning.  I grabbed a couple of scrap pieces of patterned paper, washi tape and cardstock to create this layout.

I first used my Silhouette to draw the stars on the background.  I then modified it and only cut out the inside of select stars to open up the carstock to reveal the washi tape below.

I also put three strips of the brick washi tape under the bottom of my picture and have it peeking out of each side.  I love the little bit of extra detail that it add to my page.

Thanks for joining me today!

Tweed Ride Mini Album

Hey there guys, Katie here! Happy Tuesday! Today I wanted to share with you this mini album I made. My Family and I recently did a Tweed Bicycle Ride, which is where everyone dresses up in tweed and rides around. They're fun. ;)

I made this mini album to document it and some of my Love My Tapes worked perfectly with the "tweed theme".

It was a rainy day the morning of the ride, so that blue raindrop tape from the Sometimes Fabric Tape Value Pack was perfect. You can find the awesome washi tapes I used in the Love My Tapes etsy shop.

Gnome Frame

Hi! It's Candy Spiegel ... today I wanted to show a cute little frame I made with Love My Tapes Washi Tapes.

I started with a plain wood frame from a craft store. I painted it white with Distress Paint. Once dry, I added a few strips of washi tape on each side ...

Then I added die cuts from Elizabeth Craft Designs, paper from Pebbles and Gnome buttons from Darice. A few pearls in the center of the flowers and it's ready for a family photo. Cute, eh?

Fun Father's Day Gift using LMT Washi Tape

Hi everyone!

Lynn here today.  Hope you are all doing well :)
With Father's Day right around the corner, I thought I would created a unique gift using some of the wonderful tapes available at the LMT Etsy Store.

I used washi tape around all the edges and matted each section with washi tape.
I am super excited at how it turned out and the kids can't wait to give it to hubby tomorrow.

This project was easy and fun to create.  I couldn't have done it without my washi tape :D

Daylily

Charity here from Scrappin' Chaos to share a layout decorated with handmade flowers.
~ Daylily ~
Once I started replacing my ribbon with washi tape I discovered that my hand made flowers took on a beautiful translucent look. For this layout I made various types of flowers.
Each type of lower begins by folding the washi tape. The bicycle basket is packed with “ribbon” roses made from washi that has been folded in half lengthwise for the blue rose and in thirds for the pink roses.
The cluster of flowers above the left corner of the photo feature an open rose, with more
lengthwise/ in half folding. The foxgloves, however are folded width wise.
Here is a 4-step tutorial for making your own foxgloves.

Step 1: Measure out a 2.5 inch strip of Washi Tape
Step 2: Fold back the first inch of washi so that it sticks together and the strip is 1.5 inches long.
Step 3: Curl the washi into a cone, leaving the sticky portion free.
Step 4: Tuck the sticky washi into the cone to hold the flower together.

Don't forget to share your creations on the Face Book page!
Check my blog Scrappin' Chaos for a list of supplied used.

So Loved

Summer is just a few days away here and I am sure looking forward to some warm weather.  I am excited to share this layout with you today featuring some pretty floral washi tape.  I was so excited to get this roll of pink floral tape in my last order from the Love My Tapes store.  I couldn't wait to use it on my next layout.

I grabbed four rolls of washi tape, a piece of cardstock and a piece of background patterned paper.  The strips of washi tape make the perfect background for these pictures that feature my daughter last summer.

At first my die-cut title didn't stand out on my washi tape background, so after an extra layer of contrasting cardstock it now pops against the pretty washi tape.

Thanks for joining me today!

Teacher thank you card

Hello Love My Tapes fans! This is Maya and today I am going to share a quick teacher thank you card.

I started by covering the card base with few rows of black washi tapes. I used Chalkboard Numbers, Black Floral and Black Grid.

I added two pieces of patterned paper - the bottom is 3.5"x3.25" and the top is 3.25"x3" including the punched edge.

I added an apple and "thank you" sentiment that I cut with Silhouette Cameo from vinyl but any store bought embellishment will work great here.

By changing the colors of  the patterned paper I made a sweet set of matching cards - ready to be given to the teachers,

When I make card sets I like to keep the design the same and change just one element. Another option would be to change the colors of the washi tape.

Thank you for stopping by today!
